The Kapex is a wonderful machine, and you have an exceptional wife! Still, it won't do anything the Dewalt (or my Skil) can't do. Enjoy!

Most people seem to universally prefer a shadow line over a laser line on miter saws. I'm curious as to why you don't agree with that?

I much prefer the shadow after using both.

@@wsmcookBecause the shadow is the absolute best and most accurate, but Festool fanboys always find a way to prop up their tools, even when they fall short in an area. You literally can't get more accurate than a shadow line on a miter saw.

Take the laser into the sunshine and it disappears, where the shadow line is still very much visible.

The differences between the two are so small there is no way they justify 1,000 dollars more
