In the movie they are able to foresee everything like plane crash or terrorist attack or train derailment...except forget to check how and when Lucinda will die, since they choose her and scares her to her death by telling her too much of these horrible incidents. Any intelligent beings, regardless they are gods, aliens or normal humans won't commit such mistake. If they have no ability to help human race except a few chosen ones, why they tell Lucinda 50 years prior to the EE instead of telling her a few weeks before the event?
