a good idea, but overly engineered. one. there was no need to round off the nut that tightens onto the steel rod. two, the bearing didn't need to be welded as it spins anyway. three, the loop made for the turning bar had 4 welds. why not bend a strip off steel in a loop and need only 2 welds. better yet just weld a short length of larger dia pipe that the bar could slide into.

One of the many videos about making a bar bender. Why should one want to make a tool that can only bent bars of a specific diameter and at a specific radius makes sense only if one needs hundreds of them. If not, it is a time wasting exercise of practical low level mechanics. Is the author going to sell the bent bars? Is he going to use them in some kind of foundation? Is he living in a third world country where bent bars are in great demand? Well, if it makes people happy, I suppose it was worth it.
