In Chinese, the term "learning" is represented by two characters: the first is "to study" and the second mean "to practice constantly". I find this definition beautiful.
Just saying God bless isn’t offensive Jesus is the way and the truth and the life no one can come to the father except through him. Jesus forgave sins. And I’m the Quran it says only allah can forgive sins. So Jesus wasn’t a mere prophet his role in the trinity was and is the son of God sitting at the right hand of the father Jesus is God in the flesh. I bet you Moses would never say I forgive your sins that would be blasphemous. But guess what David prophesied about yeshua and said his bones wouldn’t be broken. During Jesus’s crucifixion he was the only persons who’s knees weren’t broken fulfilling this prophecy. Also it was said that he would be from the line of David and his kingdom would last forever. Would a mere prophets kingdom last forever? No of course not he is truly God in the flesh. The trinity is father son and Holy Spirit 3 and 1 3 persons and 1 God. Persons means personality’s so 3 different personalities 1 God. Remember yeshua loves you. Repent and truly except Jesus and be born again🙏🙏🙏
I think the Feynman Technique is one of the best ways to understand a topic one is interested in. It definitely is more productive for an individual to have an understanding of a subject through this method rather than simply memorizing a series of definitions and vocab and regurgitating that info back onto an exam.
if it's a subject you know you'll never need in uni or in general in the future it might be more efficient to just memorize and be done with it but if it's something you plan to continue study and use in your job the feyman technique is better
Enthusiastic learning is only promoted by premier institutes and to go there you are pushed against the wall to go in the same rigorous exam oriented learning.
Great video! My method of making notes for Maths and Physics is: 1. Listen to the teacher's lecture in class, and write any key points. 2. Complete examples. 3. Go on RU-vid for further clarification (if I don't understand anything) 4. Write down notes in a simpler, easier to understand fashion from the textbook so I can refer to them at any time. 5. Do homework 6. Come back to the teacher the next day to make sure that the notes are correct (if I'm writing them myself, I wanna make sure that there are no flaws in my understanding).
Funny enough, I've always kind of done this naturally, at least the teach part. I talk to myself a lot when I study and I try and explain it as if my little brother was learning the topic and I had to help him. I imagine the questions he would ask and if I can't answer them I go back and study till I do.
I remember watching u for the first time in middle school helping me get through Algebra 1. Now I’m in college and I’m actually watching ur videos for organic chemistry now. Wow. My mind is blown. Where did all the time go. Thank u so much for all ur help for algebra 1 and 2, trig, geometry, calc 1, high school Chem, high school physics (especially!!!), high school bio, intro Chem 1 and 2, and now Orgo Chem :,) keep going, your content is especially amazing and you’re an excellent teacher/tutor!
0:10 This technique can be applied everytime you want to learn and understand something new. There are 4 key areas in the feynman technique. 0:25 STUDY. First you want to define what exactly it is you wish to learn, then take action by studying that subject. 0:54 The second step is TEACHING others. When you've learned the subject you want to explain to yourself what you've learned. You can do this verbally or by writing. Even better, you could try explaining it to someone else because if they don't get it they can ask you questions to see if you can help them understand it. If you can explain it in a way they understand that means you have a basic grasp of the topic. As you teach others, you teach yourself, Chem tutor can attest to this. The process of explaining what you've learned to yourself or someone else is very useful as it can help you determine whether or not you understand your material to a reasonable degree. Some say if you can't explain it well to someone else you don't understand it. 2:12 REVIEWING. The third step is to identify gaps in your understanding. After you try explaining the material to yourself or someone else, chances are you'll pick up on some gaps in your understanding that you didn't know from the first time you went over the material. When that happens, you want to go back and REVIEW the subject a second time and fill those gaps you've identified. Think of it like whenever you read a book or watch a movie and pick up on things you missed the first time; additional details. Whenever you learn something new it's good to review the material a second or third time to get a better understanding of the subject because once you truly understand it it's going to be difficult for you to understand it. Our lovely Chem tutor would review material ahead of time before the teacher teaches that subject because once he's exposed to material a second time, it deepens his understanding. Anytime you review a subject a 2nd, 3rd or 4th time you'll notice additional details you probably didn't notice before. Filling the gaps of what you don't understand. 3:52 When you try to explain what you've learned to someone else in step 2, when they ask you questions and you feel as if you can't answer it, that's how you can identify gaps in your understanding and that's when you go to step 3 : REVIEWING, to fill in the gaps you've missed. 4:14 Step 4 : SIMPLIFY your information. You want to understand the material so well that you can not only break it apart down to it's fundamental elements but also make connections with other similar topics. Once you get to a point you can explain it simply to a kid, that's when you've reached a point you have a reasonable understand of the subject. So, whenever you wish to learn something new or understand something, try explaining it to yourself or even better someone else, this will help you to know if you have a good grasp of the topic or if you need to go back and study some more. This is the basic idea behind feynman technique of learning something new and understanding. 1 you want to study, 2 Teach, 3- once you've identified gaps in your knowledge, go back and review the material. review, 4- simplify your explanation. Develop the ability to explain what you've learned in such a way that anyone with a limited vocabulary can understand. 5:33 Chem tutor's Ebook ♡
I've been searching a lot on how to study, especially as a freshman in college. This would be a great start for a series of videos on how to study since honestly, we were never taught how to study effectively and time efficiently. Hope you teach us about active recall too. I've heard alot about it, but it just feels different when you describe it
I want to do all these things you know so I can be as good as I used to be (not to brag, but I just *really* can see the difference how slow I’m learning now compared to before)… But I feel so discouraged thinking about how I feel like I have irreversible memory problems now because of extremely bad sleeping habits for 4 years. And the fact that I used to excel when it comes to memory before I just feel even more discouraged because I wasted that.
" If you can't explain it to someone else then you don't know it well yourself" Me who stutters trying to not talk to fast but also not making the other person look stupid: O-O
Dear Organic Chemistry Tutor, I'm just about to start a university science degree and I can't begin to thank you enough for all these excellent videos. I've watched a few here and there over the last few years out of curiousity, but I am now realising the power of these short, detailed and extremely well taught (and well thought out) lectures. I am so very grateful. Your contribution to humanity will forever be understated, but those of us in the comments section know what you've done. Thanks again.
hey man, I don't know if you will see this but if you do all I want to say is thank you. thank you for making countless videos on math's problems and lots more. thank you for helping me through highschool and hopefully through university as well. thank you for all your hard work with every video you make. i hope you have a blessed day and a blessed life.
Just coming here to say that I had 2 full weeks to learn and study half a semester of calculus. I procrastinated until about two days before the test and binged your videos. I just finished my midterm with a B+. You’re a life saver bro I would have been dropped from the course if I didn’t get a 70%.
As a student, this is my first time seeing the Organic Chemistry Tutor into something part of a study technique. I hope this would continue it helps a lot btw continue doing it. Thanks!
We always wish to see your face, you are such an amazing person. I know your face might have nothing to do with the content, but it's also important to know or see those who help you in your life. We appreciate you Professor JG❤️💯🙌
Hey I need to give a shout out to you… I LITERALLY didn’t know maths a year ago (while at least not what kids are learning) I only did maths until my 9th year in school … I started helping my daughter last year (year 8) and literally became hooked to your channel ever since… you’ve been my understanding so much that I started helping other kids in my family and then community and it got me to the point where I had to open my own practice… so I go out and tutor maths now… So honestly thank you!
I only have a problem with the teaching part, I'm so impatient when it comes to teaching anything to anyone even to myself, I'll be like "okay, let me go over this again" and then "do I really have to.." and then "remember, repetition is the mother of learning" and then "ughh! 🙄, don't remind me", it's a never ending battle, anyways I'm doing my post grad in space science now, and I honestly wouldn't have gotten here without your help, your introduction to chemistry video is still on my play list 5 years later after high school and varsity, big thanks JG.
Man I been watching so many of your chemistry videos and I just wanna say you have helped me so much and will help me more as someone who is doing uni chemistry and didn’t take higher grade chemistry. So THANK YOU, and i hope that if you see this, know that you are helping soo many people ❤️
Man I feel bad cause I never thanked you but I will now so thank you so much for doing this and by thanks I subscribed to your channel and I told my peers about your channel so thanks again
I am stuck with this question can you pls help me? Jenny is saving up to buy a handbag. If she saves $1 daily it will take 28 days before she can save enough money to buy the handbag. How much must she save daily in order to buy the handbag by the end of 2 weeks?
28 days to buy the handbag means the handbag costs 28*1$ or 28$ total. 2 weeks is 14 days, so 28$ / 14 days = 2$/day needed to save aka $2 daily if she wants it in 2 weeks. Hope this helps 😄
Man! I swear i learnt a lot from you and am still learning.I learned some topic in logical maths, Digital electronics, and statistics, with just 2 and half month starting my diploma in computer science. Some of the lectures am telling you i don't really understand them totally but when ever i arrived here, man! The problems became like piece of cake, you have nice teaching voice. And these got me thinking how did you learned all this and simplify it, the other side says to me is these guy really a human🤔 or may be you are mathematics angel😁.. the funny part is that am really, really curious to see your face i even searched you on Instagram.. All i can say now God bless you and your job...
The way you create your videos is extremely easy to follow. I applaud you bro 👏 . You show that in reality things are much simpler to explain but sadly the educational system isn't built for students to learn but for students to get a grade. You are truly awesome.
Thank you so much for this video. previously I was just doing (Study---> Simplify) I was lacking the other two points that's why I forget things, thanks again ♥️
I couldn't thank you enough. Your post is so timely for me. As you know I'm currently struggling with my studies given the online set up. Your such a blessing sir. Kudos and Salamat!
***Follow the Sequence 1. Study What I want to learn 2. Teach Teaching is best way to know how much I have learned, maybe I can teach myself or others verbally or by writing notes 3. Review To find the gaps where I am lacking and fill them 4. Simplify Break down everything in a manner any person can understand and find connections with other things or subjects
Please I've been trying since yesterday to purchase your book, Amazon is giving me problems. Can you provide another purchase channel please?🙏🙏🙏🙏......thank you for the good work.
