The boys from Fezzari made good channel and rider choices while they were out here. Good on you Arturo 🤘 Good to see Frankie and his wife too. Great breakdown 💥Love all my bikes, But I love that Ebike on big days.
I was curious about riding the large vs the medium. How tall are you? This has me thinking about selling my S4 Turbo Levo and getting a Medium in one of these
I am 5' 9" on that medium. The top tube is only 584 with an aggressive seat angle at 78.7. That puts you too close to the bars. The large makes more sense at top tube 613 because it already has that aggressive seat angle. That's why I really don't worry too much about the reach. I ca always put a short stem. And I will feel more stable on the steeps with that longer wheel base on the large.
Really really like the bike and would buy it in a heartbeat...if it didn't have a Shimano EP8. My friends and I have had nothing but trouble with that motor.

On trails that I ride here in Santa Barbara, I'd say maybe 10% of the other bikes I see are electric. And yes, most trails ban them, but I don't feel they're necessarily frowned upon too much, but maybe that's just me cause I'd love to have one if I could afford a second bike
I’m 6’4” and pushing 280lbs geared up. I’ve put in near 7k’ climbing over 35 miles on this bike. 4.5 hour ride time. The motor tune, frame geo to allow the rider to be less fatigued riding, and motor efficiency are really a great balance. If the battery is too large the weight balance and handling really can suffer.
@@tylercloward1677 I’m strongly considering this bike, but I’m worried I’m too tall for the XL. I’m also 6’4” like you and have long legs and long arms with a shorter torso. I remember demo-ing the 1st gen La Sal peak a few years ago and it felt like i was constantly getting pushed forward (presumably from the steep seat tube and relatively short top tube length versus other brands) Do you feel any issues with this and your height or did you throw a longer stem on to help mitigate the issue?
@@alexchamberlain6721 the geo on this bike doesn’t really compare to the first gen bike at all. The XL is lengthened considerably and the seat tube angle came back a half of a degree. It ride much longer. Also the headset is a ZS56/ZS56 so it’s also possible to put a reach adjust headset in to gain another 6-7mm of reach if you’d like. I’m running a 50mm stem. The stack on this bike is also taller which helps us taller riders as well.
