I think this is one of the best songs of the entire game. The future looks grim, those whispers come back and back again, and the more we kill em', the more knowledge of the awful and impending future we have. So we are doing everything in our power to overcome destiny and prevent whatever Sephiroth's endgame is. It's a perfect sum of everything that we have fought so far
It most certainly sounds a lot like XIII. totally matches into the musical style of it. I have nothing to complain about though, sure wouldn't mind some of XIII's strength (being OST) included as part of this fantastic FF7 remake series.
I was torn by the entire end sequence/plot changes. On one hand I wish they had stuck to the original more closely and all this just overcomplicates things and somewhat tarnishes the legacy. On the other hand, it was a crazy fun ride to the finish. I can understand the need to play a lot of their cards up front in this first game and have a fulfilling, epic conclusion given its big-budget/AAA status, despite just being a "Part 1." This also frees them from the original to do more of what they want creatively and allows these remakes to stand alone.
I disagre worth them keeping the original. In fact I’m impressed square enx did this; it’s a remake that’s also a sequel/reboot. I heard someone (maybe a fan or developer) once say that it was almost pointless to do a remake exactly. Afterall, aerith’s desth is such an important landmark that I imagine most RPG fans know about it. Doing this story builds on the original; new fans are drawn into the story to see what was changed and why the characters acted the way they did in the remake and older fans can be shocked by what can come next. It’s a win win. Besides, why have a remake when you have the original that can be ported onto other systems? The impact of ff7 remains but keeping it exactly the way it is wouldn’t be as interesting today. There are too ma y RPGs to at have built and expanded on the story and mechanics ff7 did in 1998.
@@chardonnay5767 the interesting part is that the most important plot points of the "remake" are where it doesn't exactly match the major events of the original plot.
I dont know why people dont get, that this doesnt tarnish anything of OG. Without OG this game wouldnt exist period. This is a confirmed sequel, which is playing in the same time line as OG. This all happens after AC, it´s not hard to understand!
