Love how this part is almost like a 'recap' of the game. Your enemies start from security guards, robots, SOLDIERS, pretty much the same when you played the game. The bike mechanic introduced before, the music being remixes of themes you've heard before, the Whispers, and a boss to top it all off. A good way to 'close out the original' before the game starts to go into uncharted territories.
@@obiwanpez Forgot where I heard this but apparently they considered it but thought the tone would clash too much. And you know what, I respect their restraint. Considering Sephiroth is right after it would be tonal whiplash.
@@solomon9655 He'll probably be back later, anyway. Maybe needs some time to heal. What do you think? Riding the motorcycle game at Golden Saucer, looking for a rematch? ;)
God this had me so hyped and the music was such a banger! I'm usually a original music purist because modern orchestra music arrangements 50%+ of the time never surpass the original musics I loved of classic retro games but THIS is one of the few examples it outdone the original in my opinion!
This gave me super Matrix 2 highway chase vibes, while still being Final Fantasy 7... eargasm!!! Crazy Motorcyle theme, shinra theme, battle theme all orchestrated into this hype song and stage. I was hoping this game wouldn't end, but it was an awesome ride!
Nah, I like the idea of giving us all new content added & character development, and in these 3 - parts , them being 40 to 100hr remakes & full length games each. So you’re the minority
@@Psychokyuubi666Agree, 7 was my first RPG period. Got me into FF and the entire genre, Western and Eastern. And I'm not crying BETRAYAL like The Spoony One! Man some people (and you can't escape the purists as I see em over in Dead Space & Resident Evil 4, also games that got my scardycat ass into horror in general. Loved the remakes. I love the originals and even still play them from time to time....though FF IX is my favorite OG FF with 7 as my second but tying with FF9, am I like the ONLY one who LIKED the compilation of FF7 😅, OG 7 was NOT a perfect game. Still great, but not perfect and DID have it's own brand of PADDING! At least Remake padding was better in being more meaningful instead of just there. Ref XIII/Nanaki getting some love!)
I disagree. Bull motor would have to be completely reworked from original game to be worthy of final boss of Remake. Also, without that fate stuff, I'd say that hype for Remake pt.2 (or Rebirth if you want) would probably about 20% then it currently is, since people would just assume "More of the same but prettier".
The fate stuff is cool, sorry that it doesn't satisfy your purist want of a one to one remaster, but the fact that the story is going to be different is cool.
@@Husker_the_barkeep I didn't want a 1-1 remaster in Remake or Rebirth. I like the expanded story. Cissnei in Gongaga and chasing Kyrie was great. The way Nibelheim was restructured is superior to the original in every way. The fate/multiverse stuff is crap. I had a lot of fun with both games until they shit the bed at the end. The 1.3.0 update to Rebirth confirmed that the addition of Zack to the game was so poorly received by fans that when you finish the game, you can SKIP his portions of the story outright. It wasn't there before the most recent update.
