ARR writing went back and forth in quality a bit, Heavensward writing was awesome, Stormblood writing was also back and forth, but when it was good, it was good. Shadowbringers was an experience that I wish I could go through all over again. And the writing was a huge part of that. Here’s hoping Endwalker is just as good with it’s writing.
When you look at the stuff she was involved in writing they were all these really great character stories. The real strength of Shadowbringers was that she wrote a great character story about your character along with other great characters. Pretty much anything she's touched is noted to be strong or is entirely beloved by the fandom. Giving her the ball for the main scenario was one of the best choices Yoshida made as producer along with burning the game and remaking it.
@@84jesterx From what I heard, the Main Scenario writer for Heavensward is doing the FFXIV main story. It's not Ishikawa, but I think it has potential to be good. Heavensward was pretty good, after all.
I can't remember a story in a movie, comic, book, or game that is as good as the one in Shadowbringers. It's almost 2 years since I completed it and I can still say that without hesitation.
I never thought Final Fantasy would go back to the quality of IV to X, but Shadowbringers ended up surpassing a lot of them. The only thing holding it back is the innate MMO nature that can kinda screw with the story pacing, but other than that I wouldn't even argue with someone claiming that SHB was the best FF game to date.
She's rumoured to have written the story for it but don't think it's been confirmed yet. I imagine Yoshida is probably bringing a few of his main people on board and from what we saw so far it has the same feel as XIV so not surprising if they are involved.
@@MxMoondoggie definitely same feel, they’re calling the summons eikons in the trailer, so definitely a lot of the writers from 14 are involved with 16
