I’m on the verge of finishing the story aspect of it. I won’t return to try and Platinum it until after my 15 days straight work week xx But honestly it doesn’t seem as daunting as I thought since I absolutely love the game!
Lol even Genesis took this long. To reduce stress, I'm just finishing 1 minigame per day then play a hard mode chapter. Once done, wait for the next day 😂
I'm struggling through the VR battles at the moment. Got the last two to finish and they are super difficult. When I've finished those, I can do my hard playthrough and after seeing all the date scenes the platinum will be mine. Perseverance is key! Congrats on achieving it!
My wife thinks I have a problem, because no matter how many mini games and simulator fights I die repeatedly trying to beat, I still love and celebrate this. Rebirth is the best game I've played in years.
My wife just learnt what it means to get married to gamer after the release of this game 😅. Before rebirth I was playing maybe 5 to 8 hours a week and now I am playing more than 25 hours a week, it has been a while since I enjoyed a game like this
You clearly have only played 2 games. Including this one. Ive played 387 games on console, 361 platinumed. This game is probably in my bottom 3. In terms of gameplay and story (which is 10% of the game) driven. This is majority mini games and side content with stupid mundane tasks that are late 90s early 2000s crap. Please rethink what you uave played. I have platinumed this and honestly, the hardest one of all in terms of balance and fairness. This sucks. Thank you, have a nice day.

I got the platinum earlier this week, and it was a Rollercoaster of emotions. I loved the game, I hated the game, I was emotionally defeated at one point. But it was honestly worth it. Bonds of friendship was the last thing I needed for the plat. Once I beat that, I finished the collectables and got it done. That final fight with Odin was so rewarding. I'm taking a break from trophy hunting for a bit, I need a break lol. Took me 206 hours total, and I had time off work to no life the hell out of it. Great video though, you summarized it up pretty well!

we need materia loads, but we also need a freaking equipment screen within the chadley VR system! it’s so obnoxious having to back out all the way every time i want to change around materia
The battle system is the thing I love most in this game so I got all my summons unweakened on dynamic. Some I was able to obtain immediately after reaching their zone. Others I had to do a little grinding for. Titan being one of those since you get little materia to rely on right out of the gate. All of the battle trophies have me excited to try for the platinum but omg the minigames put me right off. And I've already got the piano and queens blood trophies. I enjoyed those! It's all the other ones that I dunno if I can stomach. Even on a normal mode playthrough I couldn't get max rank on the frog jumping and pirates rampage mini-games and now you say there are hard mode versions?! Heck.
My platinum clocked in at 208 hours !!!! Tho it was a very difficult platinum to get it felt rewarding i grew to appreciate the challenge this game is awesome ❤

Personally really love this game. I‘m currently on hard mode chapter 8, missing only 9 items for Johnny. Haven’t even tried the brutal or legendary challenges, but I’m going to try them soon
Congratulations! I'm currently having my friendship with Zack being tested. For some reason I thought that this platinum would be a breeze - a similar combat sim like in Remake, side quests, HM and minigames... not as simple as initially assumed But now I got too deep to give up on so grinding through the friendship bout haha
Bonds of friendship was hands down the hardest challenge in the game. It was the last thing I physically needed to complete for the plat, and it was hard. But super rewarding.
Got it on my 2nd attempt, I practiced a lot with Cloud prior to it so I could master everything he has to offer, and boy am I glad I did 😋 That thing was rough, I only cast Bravery with Zack, besides that I didn't touch him. Love playing as Zack but I wish we had the option to play as him elsewhere when we actually finish the challenge 🤔 him and Sephiroth both

Congratulations on the platinum trophy! I wish they had made different regions for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth so I could have a reason to play and platinum the game again.
Even though I hunted the platinum, I don’t think I’m nearly finished with this game. Looking back, there’s a lot of different builds and combinations I want to try. Crit builds, magic builds, stagger stacks, messing with mp~hp materia, atk~magic materia… I want to retry the brutal challenges with different team comps, and go for lower times. I want to see if I can not just beat, but destroy Gilgamesh (I love him so much his voice actor was perfect). All the bosses were unique and my dynamic/hard playthrough was just damage races. I want to see if I can further optimize things to destroy each boss much more efficiently. So incredibly replayable to the point where I regret hunting the platinum because I saw it as a metric for completion.
I managed to do it myself a couple hours ago! I absolutely love this game, but I am so, so tired lol. I need a break. Zack's legendary bout was the worst. Last thing I had to do was Hard Mode and managed to get it done a few hours ago! Feels so good! Gonna take a week's break or so before I jump back in and get the rest of the manuscripts. But I can take it easy with those now that I have the plat! Time to play some other games! Clocked in with 202 hours when that Platinum popped!

What I love besides the story and graphical fidelity which I would be walking through towns like this can’t be real the love they put into designing the world and even npc conversations. It was clear this game is catering to us fans and I loved every second. The combat, was absolutely amazing you can’t just run in with a sword and beat the hell out of a enemy you actually had to think about what you were doing and once you figured it out you could cheeze it ultimately as a fan I can’t say enough did some things annoy me like navigation gongaza absolutely but I could love even in that. Hopefully this wins game of the year
I am a stones throw away from this Platinum Trophy! I have only a few of Jhonnys Curio wall achievements left which includes a few of Chadly's Combat Simulations. This has been an epic and very satisfying game ultra fun to play (a few or maybe more than a few Mini Games aside)!
currently at chapter 12 in hard mode, done with almost any minigame, but still got the 6 party combats and a like 15 battle sim missions left, they are so hard,. i try them once in a while and manage to beat 1 every so often :'D
I am still on my normal run chapter 12 got 79 items for Johnny out of 88 i Don't know how difficult the hard run would be but i remember enjoying it in the first game. Seems like the vr will be the biggest challenge and sephiroth brawl which i am stuck at.
215 hours in and the only thing keeping me from the platinum is Bonds of Friendship. I've gotten close to beating it (as in having Odin within 1-shot range) three separate times, only to get wrecked. I love this game, but this game infuriates me. BoF is enough for me to actually hate the people who made this game. Ch 14 Hard Mode was easier than this. Edit: To put this in perspective, when I finished Hard mode at the 198 hour mark, the only thing I had left was Bonds of Friendship. 17 hours and counting on just one stupid VR Mission.
I know I already commented once. But I have a recommendation that may be a fun video for you. If you’re going to do a video on queensblood.. throw triple triad in there as well. Both amazing mini games. And if you want to beef the video up even more throw that (atrocious) ff9 mini game in there too. I don’t think anyone has done a video talking about queens blood and triple triad. Cash money right there my guy.
Nice work my brother. I had a lot of fear for this platinum based on what I've heard, but hearing that you were able to get it has greatly diminished my fears. I'm still haunted by the fact that you used a script for the jump roping in Final Fantasy 9. Did you use any such similar trickery for this game?
It is unfortunate that the last patch broke the ability to get trophy for doing all side quests for many players like me because the G-bike race refuses to progress the quest even after I beat the high score 5 times even after a game reboot or save reload prior to doing quest.
I have the Gilgamesh trophy to get, the hard run trophy to get and a few gold saucer trophies to get like beat sephiroth. But I cannot get past the summons to get to Gilgamesh. No matter how I try. I look up a lot of these builds and they look ultra confusing. But I basically brute forced my way through the game fighting wise. Never used magic unless I had to. So mostly curative spells and a lot of stagger. I have to completely change my mindset to go into magic mode. And these builds I see people using are ultra confusing. Once I get that down the plat is mine. But I’m starting to feel fatigue. I’m at 120 hours. And I promised myself I’d get this plat. I downloaded the remaster of red dead and it was such a breath of fresh air. But I owe it to myself to get this platinum. As I was one of the very first people to get the remake platinum. That was a cakewalk to me.
I ended up doing the limit siphon strat and playing a little more defensively when it came to the outer worlds, I think Alex and Odin are the harder Summons to get past but I just remember being hyper aware of what was going off and switching characters a lot!
Broo, I can't figure out how to beat Brutal, Legendary and Hard mode Musclehead challenges. Tried everything, but a lot of stuff is just random and frustrates me really bad...
Yeah there's an easily missed convo with Chadley in junon and he mentions the rabbits are around secrets, but I came across that by complete accident 😂 working through the trophies now......the mini games are soooo hard! 😭 I'm on the last "hard mode" one for every one, and I'm struggling 😅

The mini games arent bad... But dear lord on everything the 3d brawler can eat grits! Im struggling on that minigame and its all I have to do to 100% since itll snow ball the rest i need
I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but if you need an easy way to just get it done...the magic build completely wrecks everything in this game. Element of choice+swiftcast, hp&mp absorption, and magnify, then magic up, first strike, atb boost, enemy skill. Chocoking's cape and you can blitz through hard mode in about 7 hours and the combat sims are made much easier so long as you learn how to parry the important big skills.

Yeah I got all done before the patch. It's a shame it's bugged. I hope it gets fixed soon! As for cactuar crush, just a little patience will go a long way, using soul drain with Aerith on the big cactuars helped!
Trying to get the plat has absolutely destroyed my mental health. I've given up. Just not worth it. I got the plat for the first one but this is just cruel and unusual punishment. I don't know what they were thinking.
I'm left handed so the piano trophy is pretty much impossible for me. We don't have Link anymore, guitars,basses, Scissors and bows cost 3X as much and the only representation we can get is as villains or morally dubious characters ie Sephiroth,Shadow, Kam'lanaut,Golbez and Kain Highwind. Final Fantasy II Leon the traitor...left handed. Lelia the pirate...left handed. Celes worked for the Empire...so left handed for you! Richter Belmont in Castlevania Symphonyof the Night...right handed...guess what hand he uses when he's possessed by dracula? I'm currently playing Persona 5 and Goro Akechi is pretty popular in universe hopefully i won't be let down like i was with Leon from Tales of Destiny.
It needs a patch. It's currently bugged, so it's best to just avoid it. Only people with physical copies can dodge the bug by uninstalling the game and playing on the earlier firmware.
party animal quest is glitched other then that just got the stealing the show trophy and im done but till that update comes i hope of getting before i move on
just started on hard mode today...I struggled a lot with the final fight of the game in normal, really not looking forward to it in hard lol. The only other game I have ever plat'ed was ffxv, idk if i can do this
I enjoyed 99% of the game. Chocobo flying hurt my soul. The final brutal challenge and Zack/Cloud's legendary challenge were incredibly tedious. Greatly disliked them as the first rounds became free from repetition, but still took ~15 mins to get back to the final challenge.
Even so, it really felt good when I finally got bonds of friendship done. But now looking back, I really feel that those 10 round battles should have some continue system like "3 lives" system, where you could continue twice from same battle if you die.
"I love everything about this game" I wish I could say that but nope, The platinum made me hate this game. I did get it but it wasn't worthy Also the way the game is structured in rebirth is super outdated and not all that fun.
I see all these videos giving horror stories about this platinum and so I am going to have to pass on it. I will play the game casually on another account but I won't play it on my main account. A shame, I really like the visuals and sound and the story was an homage to the OG. It's a crying shame it was choked and clotted with so many stupid mini-games. I would accept Queen's Blood, the Gold Saucer stuff, chocobo racing and the proto-relic quest for Gilgamesh... but not this. X(
@@GenesisVII yep, i was trying to complete as much as possible before moving on to the next chapter, and of course the g bike and all the other games at Gold Saucer updated so i did them all, and now can't complete the quest line
I thought Remakes platinum was rewarding. Rebirth made Remake look like child’s play for platinum. I wasn’t going past Chapter 13 until I got the combat simulator done because I wanted to be fully done with the game raged so many times but after practice for hours on end it got easier. Beat Bonds of Friendship and To Be a Hero on my first try it was Rulers of the Outer Worlds that gave me problems more then any of them. 325 hours later had to blast the Victory Fanfare this platinum ain’t for the faint of heart let me tell you 😂
Really? You are one of the few people I have ever heard beating bonds of friendship first try. I used Yuffie/Aerith atb trick and maybe because of that, rules was much easier than bonds to me. It took only 3 runs to beat rulers while it took 15 runs to beat bonds of friendship. 😅
materia managing is annoying i was hoping they did loadouts as you said especially when your party gets modified and your support character isnt in there...gah it was awful
I was expecting this game to have at least 20 chapters instead of 14. Don't get me wrong I'm not disappointed, but I'm a little bit disappointed but eh that's the way it goes sometimes
+ visuals, beautiful + music, 10/10 + combat, amazing + characters, alive + dungeons, really cool - story, changes for the worse (ending is shit, skipped rockettown, Dyne ruined) - minigames, frustrating too much and overcomplicated - Cid, doesnt smoke and swear - overworld movement, random stops at small rocks and really bad climbing - open world stuff, repetitive for me 5/10 as comparison: OG 8/10, Remake 8/10, Crisis Core 6/10
