SociallyVirgin I think they made him look that way on purpose since he was supposed to be around 16-17? When he and sephiroth were in nibelheim and it was a flashback of cloud's memories that had him take zack's place
@@RavanaMuse I’m talking about the comparison right here at 1:59. He was supposed to be around 16 when he was “in nibelheim” with sephiroth in chapter 1. They made tifa look young too in that chapter otherwise the rest of the game they look older
Yeah Idk what the hell they did exactly but I saw so many people praising FF7remake combat and I really didn't like it much, Rebirth made it so much more fluid it's great (and air combat is also just better all around)
Well tbf he was super inexperienced in Remake. In Rebirth his technique seems more refined and he handles the weight of the sword a lot better. It's less realistic but I think it shows Cloud's evolution really well.
The only thing I think was better in remake was Cloud's attack pattern in punisher mode. I actually don't like that he just juts back and forth endlessly in Rebirth when in punisher mode. He had a really cool combo string in punisher mode in remake.
I starting to see why people hating on a graphic, graphic look fine, it those characters eye that look weird like damn 💀 patch probably going to fix the eye, most likely the face as well
Actually, the artistic direction is nice, but the game, nonetheless, is technically imperfect; it's extremely uneven. While the performance mode adds a terrible blur, some textures are really ugly. However, it's possible to patch it after a while. Also, technically speaking, the lighting and shadows in certain levels aren't dynamic, meaning that characters have no interaction with the light, and many small details indicate that technically, the game is behind for a 2024 release game. Digital Foundry has also mentioned it; the game has its strengths and weaknesses, but technically, it's not top-notch, especially considering it has a lot of aliasing and popping effects in certain areas. After all, none of this will influence the gaming experience, but it's a fact that technically, the game has significant weaknesses that haven't been addressed since the remake and the change of generation.
Spider man 2 is the same thing except digital foundry loves that game so much they called it a technical achievement. Technical achievement my ass. Where is the true power of the ps5??? Horizon forbidden west still remains one of the best looking PlayStation game of all time despite being cross gen! Alan wake 2 looks good but its art direction goes to hfw.
De mon point de vue, les blancs sont cramés parcque la capture HDR a été converti en SDR... Les éclairages sont magnifiques. Les textures en revanche beaucoup moins.
@@daeith1233 Idk what to tell you if you say The last of us 2 is open world man…. Neil Druckmann explained that they had to scrap the idea of an open world because it didn’t work with the story they wanted to tell The last of us 1 and 2 wins with it strong linearity and that is good that way - constantly driving you through the story that’s what they do. Open world feeds you bit by bit and have some chapters in it where you forced to go through story and for the rest you free to enjoy and explore the variety the map offers you until a certain point. Games like The Witcher 3 , Cyberpunk 2077, GTA , Red Dead Redemption, FF7 Rebirth and so on are classic open world Games like Tomb Raider, Metro Exodus, The Last of us 2, God of War 4 are open map. They give you a wide map to explore and then you continue to next section often marked with loading screens in between
@@viisovari4544 Inter4sting comment, but I was mentionning the open world area in tlou2, not the full game. The same goes with FF7 rebirth, I didn't feel like the whole game was an open world, just some parts which is why I compare both
Is the party members still didn't talk much when we walking around in ff7 rebirth? Ff7 remake is too silent for me.. the party members didn't say much when we walking around, maybe that's why i like ff 15 more the character is feels alive because they talking too noctis...like a lot
@@turbotrup96it looks the same as intergrade if not slightly worse in the open world. It’s using the exact same tech as the first game. The only difference is an open world now versus only hallways. It looks WAY better than remake on ps4, but very comparable to intergrade on ps5
I well admit the graphics in my opinion look better in part one but that’s not going to stop me from playing the shit out of rebirth when it comes out graphics to me are just benefits and in a game I mean if the combat is good and the story is good and with little to no crashes that’s all I would care about
The graphics are definitely not better in Remake than Rebirth. The game just needs a bugfix update, it's missing a character shadows in a huge amount of areas, the characters don't get wet and water doesn't react to them when they swim, plantlife like grass and bushes do not have any physics either, no reaction to characters walking through it. Then there is the low resolution in performance mode. The landscapes and characters are leaps ahead of REMAKE but the bugs and lack of physics really ruin some of it. Crossing my fingers for an update soon.
@@SandroBR824 People say this who stare at mud textures. Overall it's great because it's open world now, but it's visually very similar and Remake had some incredible looking areas too.
in the game for like 30 hours now, and sometimes I observe how they look. The characters in Rebirth are almost the same, actually sharper, especially in graphics mode. A good example of this in the video is the Barret comparison. The scary-looking faces are noticeable in certain areas with light or sun illumination, which Rebirth has now ray tracing(a bad one) vs Remake with pre rendered lighting. Environment also suffers with texture pop ins and this is on the optimization department which I believe can be improved I mean it's a 2024 game as Ghost of Tsushima on PS5 can have both great visual with 60fps but then again has no Ray Tracing. With all that said I'm enjoying the game and will appreciate it more if they optimized it hopefully the upcoming patch will fix it.
You forgot the L1 abilities for the players. Especially Clouds are awesome. Also have you noticed how Cloud goes in the same stance as Sephiroth using his sword. In some scenes he even uses his left hand like Sephiroth (Cloud is right handed). One Cutscene in a reactor shows that very very much on purpose. Its actually scary and creepy.
As someone that went straight from Remake into Rebirth, there are actually a few things about the combat in Remake that I prefer. Cloud's heavy attack combo is one thing, and I also liked how Aerith's primary attacks felt more impactful in the first part. The thing that I dislike most about Rebirth is it's choice of graphics modes though. The graphics mode makes me feel physically sick because of the judder when moving the camera, and the performance modes both look extremely soft/pixelated and make some major sacrifices to draw distance and clarity to maintain 60fps on the PS5s aging hardware. The upscaling solution they have used for the performance modes is simply awful, so I'm really hoping that this title is one of the "PS5 Pro Enhanced" titles when the new console releases later this year. The PSSR upscaling looks significantly better than the solutions we currently have on console, and the GPU will have 40-50% more performance to work with, so I think Rebirth could be a great poster child for the new technology at launch.
I think the lighting in Rebirth SUCKS compared to Remake. There's bewn an update that seems to help but it still looks scary in many places. Tight shots are incredible but anything at a distance and people look weird af.
the difference is that remake i a lot smaller that rebirth, of course the graphics really turn down a lot, but the world, the mecanics, the gameplay, the towns, the mini games, theres just so much more that graphics dosnt really matter that much
Yes because the performance mode look so blurry then the graphics mode that’s why it looks like a ps4 game. But the graphics mode also sucks because it’s fucking 30 fps and no one plays in 30 fps. Even though I don’t own an oled tv, (which can make 30 fps look like shit,) I still prefer 60 over 30. This is unbelievable. We still haven’t gotten a true ps5 game that looks better than horizon forbidden west. And I don’t believe a ps5 pro would fix all of these issues at all. 😤😤😤
I love Rebirth, but I'm not a fan of the changes they made to the character models between games. IDK what it is, but in a lot of scenes they have a pretty bad uncanny valley effect. I never got that sense in Remake. That, and every character's eyes look worse. Maybe the lighting doesn't interact with the characters correctly or something. Its really bad with Barrett, his eyes in Remake were so expressive, and in Rebirth they look straight up dead in a lot of scenes.
waiting for rebirth pc but that comparison especially on tifa's looks soooooo weird, she felt so alive at remake but she looked shell-shocked on rebirth
When you compared characters you used the younger Cloud model from the flashback in Rebirth instead of older, present day Cloud we play as for 99.9% of the game.
It has character shadows and self-shadowing. This means how it looks depends heavily on the light's angle. Cloud's eyes are tied heavily to a narrative, I noticed that they have turned green after a big event.
Final fantasy remake unfortunately has a very small but vocal community who love to crap on the game. It’s sold extremely well with insanely good reviews but some people will claim it’s a scam or the worst game ever… YES the graphics are definitely an issue and will most likely be addressed in some form but that’s literally it. Some people need to get a life
Its not the worst game ever obviously, but it sets a bad precedent to for developers to not fix the graphical issues and release the game unfinished, they deserve the criticism so they will actually fix the issues
Cringy fanboys like you need to get a life if you cant accept criticism of your precious game lol plus most of those good reviews are just normies who dont have perspective or were paid to give a good review
Couple issues I have with this comparison. It looks like they are comparing Remake Graphics mode to Rebirth Performance mode. I say this due to how jagged the lines are in the shadows, and means that over all textures are far lower than graphics mode. Since they don't actually show specs or even side by side comparison of the different modes it is hard to get a grasp on it over all. Only point this out as some content creators are basing their preview of the game off this video rather than others that state the mode they are running and showing side by side comparisons of.
No the remake is clearly in performance mode too because it has a semi-soft look with half shimmering. Graphics mode on Remake is a very crisp native 4K. Performance mode of rebirth would look hideous besides it. Also the only difference between graphics and performance mode in Rebirth is the resolution and every other setting is the same from shadows to draw distance to textures.
@@EfecanYSL Interesting. I've not played either as I don't have a PS4 or PS5, and was waiting for the the majority to be released PC side before I even start it since it is a trilogy. Either way, asking for information about mode being run is still something I would recommend in the end, as well as stating when screen is zoomed in. Sadly RU-vid has a swath of content stealers that will reuse other content to cast shade without context. My only guess for the muddier performance version in Rebirth is that it was for the more open fields they are using this go around. I'd say I'd wait for the PC to see if it looks better, but my experience with ported games is it rarely has much difference and tends to not leverage the hardware properly giving performance issues.
What i dont like that in Rebirth you are too much zoomed out. Zoom level 1 in Rebirth is more zomed out than Zoom level 3 in Remake..partly kills immersion for me
Graphically it's not that big different, most intensive thing is bigger area you can explore in Rebirth than previous version, both are good and Rebirth has new stuff in term of gameplay.
no matter preformance or image quality. the lighting on faces is pure dogshit. in remake it was so good. and in this game their faces look so ugly out of cutscenes. idk why they downgraded
Real FF7 fans won't be crying over some graphics lol. I believe it looks really good. I would have loved it even if the hands and bodies were blocks again. Just play the goddamn game for the beauty of it and let it bring back your childhood memories, it's all that matters.
@@hackerkillerpk yes I agree. The in game models and most environmental textures have higher quality in intergrade. This is due to the open world nature of rebirth. Clearly unreal engine 4 was not a good choice for the game they envisioned here and they had to make many sacrifices to make it run well. But the cutscenes look fantastic in both games. Basically the same fidelity. I hope they can transition to an upgraded engine for the third game be it unreal engine 5 or otherwise
@@tehCostHD bro the thing is i paid for something i want to enjoy, not have crap blurry graphics on my TV/monitor, Sony advertised the PS5 to be great console, okay great and SE have the hardware and also have the ability to make great things, they should own up to this mistake, yes, they will "patch it" but this is getting old and annoying like the rest of the game studios "patch this and patch that". Trust me, when you buy something and it's not functioning well as it's supposed to be, you yourself and everyone will criticize, heck, it's not a bad thing. We can all like the development studios, we can enjoy what they sell to us but at the end of the day, they are not our friends, this is business, they sell - we buy, it's as simple as that, making excuses or defending them doesn't make any sense.
The remake although it's not really stable, but the graphics looks more expensive and detail. Rebirth looks like a stranger of paradise idk why.... Too contrast... Remake managed to make playable characters blend in with the environment. Rebirth looks like they're one layer away from the environment.
there’s lots of thing that Rebirth did better and improved than Remake (combat, level design, sidequests) and there’s also lots of things in Remake that was better than Rebirth (character models, ambience, audio mix, Clouds punisher mode, camera being near the characters when in combat) tldr Rebirth is obviously better than Remake but on a technical aspect I think Remake is better.
That would surely push up the release date. Better to let them work with tools they are used to if we are ever going to have a 2027 30-year anniversary release.
I think Remake has better graphics and a better color pallet , which fits perfectly in Midgar, Rebirth has more color is more cartoonish, i don't like it so much but hey its FF 7 so who cares 🤣👍
They really did put less effort into the graphics in this game... it'a supposed to be PS5 exclusive yet looks even worse! It has worse shadows, lighting & uses a very simple/bad upscaling mode for Performance Mode for some reason...
I kinda prefer Remake's look. Like graphically Rebirth is better but it looks a little gray in places. And some characters look better in Remake I think. That being said Rebirth is an improvement in every other way.
It's an improvement in some ways, and a step back in others. Environments has better geometry in a lot of cases in Rebirth, but lighting seems to be consistently better in Remake. Character models are better in Rebirth, but image quality is better in Remake. It's difficult to say which looks better as whole, which is pretty disappointing considering the amount of time between the two games.
@@clonblurmin8194 The fact they went open world could be the problem. Remake character models are so well done, fresh..the intro where Cloud is coming on top of the train is legendary!
Good thing the physics for swimming and getting wet are non-existent just like the physics for grass and bushes. You'd think a $70 game in 2024 would get you wet when you went swimming and water actually reacts to you being in it. Same goes for bushes and grass moving when you walk through it. Then we have the countless missing character shadows throughout the game and horrible resolution in performance mode. Yes, gameplay and visually the game is amazing, but that seems like its just an excuse for Square to be lazy as hell with leaving shit out and not properly integrating physics.
This is using HDR . I configured my to and HDR on my PS5 so the image is balanced .and I even took snapshot of both . I can say rebirth graphics are next lvl borderline CGI toy story. Or any CGI movie. Level fidelity is way greater
Rebirth is better but remake looks noticably better when you play them. Which im fine with cause it gives a reason to play remake 1. Also theres less balance in remake so you can break the game much easier. I had 9999 hp before fighting sephiroth using 2 hp materias per character.
Well, Rebirth is the Unreal Engine 4 openworld-game. And what that means is that there’s high chance of stattering, FPS drops and a lot of other problems on PC. Like it was in Jedi Survivor, Lords of The Fallen, and other non-optimized UE4 crap.
@@TGC88Same case as in Tekken 8. They changed from UE4 to UE5 and had to do everything from the scratch, like animations, character model and stuff like this. Yeah, I too wished that they changed to UE5 but it would take years for part 3 to be launched and too much cost for it
@@gabrielnovais871 that sucks. Oh well! At least ff7 rebirth is still going to be a great game nevertheless. Hopefully they will fix the blurry picture in the performance mode in a future update.
I hope that one day they'll make it so that you can have all 3 parts in 1 game... especially with just one save... I find the Remake really better, the only improvement would be the rebirth graphics... And even then, the Remake is already very good... I just hope that the gravity of set objects is more realistic, because cloud was a real bulldozer in the remake...
You're comparing a closed in game to a huge open world game. Of course there is gonna be some trade offs. Good thing i play my games and not stare at them.
Graphic downgrade not worth any open world. Especially for FF7. Remake was great and beautiful, rebirth looks worse even in closed space like shinra mansion and etc.
@@Balsley1105what do you mean who cares? just because you don’t care doesn’t mean everyone else has to not care, never understand that shit just let people have there own opinions. If they are a graphics person let them be, just don’t respond it’s that simple. They payed for the game just like you, you better believe they’re going to have their own opinions about a game THEY payed for just like you.
Rebirth looks better in more areas then it don’t , y’all dragging da hell out of this. Need I remind everyone that the plate in FF7R was jus a dang picture 🙄
Rebirth looks amazing, but i didn`t pay 700 dollars for a ps5 to play a game at 720p upscaled 60fps. Gimme a a solid 1440p 60fps or I`m gonna wait for a ps6 or a ps5 pro.
On graphics alone the Unreal engine looks much better and I am certain has much more potential.. especially in regards to lighting the other engine does a terrible job. Just look at Clouds face at 2:51 .. if you look out for that you find it everywhere in everyone face. Of course the "cutscenes" and "dialogue scenes" are perfectly fine cause rendering works differently.. but in regards to just the game itself I'd say graphics looked a lot better in the first game.. even tho it is older.. I don't know why they changed to the new engine.. probably money.. (which after recent changes motivated by greed makes that unfortunate).. but UE seems to have a much higher potential to deliver good graphics.
I like remake better than rebirth so far. Im not a big fan of all the mini games like queens blood and all the open world stuff. Feels like its taking longer to beat the actual game.
Remake better character models Rebirth better Environmental. Same thing happened to RE remakes 2 and 3 remake has better character models but in 4 remake all characters has less detail than previous remakes because of bigger game.
I’m playing remake rn and the combat is so unbelievably horrible that I can’t get into it. I’ve played a LOT of JRPGs and this is genuinely one of the worst feeling I’ve ever played
