The Main Theme of THE Materia Thief' Battle variation extended in game for about an hour. Accidental pause towards the end, sorry! Also getting art refs! Cannot wait to do the rest!
the orchestrator of this piece is a freaking genius. Yuffie's theme is like a lighthearted theme that means to show her personality. But this theme is an epic interpretation of Yuffie's struggles and her fight against Shinra. Nobue Uematsu must be really proud.
The music of FF7 remake/rebirth and XVI have been killing it! I play this as “getting through the moment in life” now to motivate myself every day with current struggles 😎👍🏻
Intergrade is proof the developers are capable of writing something completely new and have it still be good. Makes me excited for part 2, regardless of if it differs from the original or not
It's been ages since I heard "Descendent of the Shinobi" from the original release. When I first heard THIS theme, the cheeky violin slide around 0:12 had me going _"Oh! That cute and playful! Very 'Yuffie-like!"_ but when I realized it was a take on her original theme, I pretty much shed a tear... that's just... a 'chefs kiss' to music composition, as well a highly respectable nod, to the theme it represents, right there. 😘👌 Love it~
Remake music shines when it's strongly recognizable, it doesn't happen often but when it hits, it hits. The final phase of jenova whisper is a great example
Just got my ps5 2weeks ago and could finally play the DLC for my all time favorite game, I'm definetely a happy turtle for every hour I can enjoy some more FF7, I love how much care they showed towards the original.
I'm glad you liked it! I keep putting off returning to finish the work but I will soonish Unfortunately elden ring is my everything for the foreseeable future!
Yuffie is hands down one of the best FF characters in general. Loved her gameplay and history, also her minimages. Looking foward for the next FF 7 games.
I freaking love this re take on DOS from the original, it's so snappy, authentic, true to the orignal while being it's own new thing, as Aerith said "Sooo cool!" The Runaround is also a big jammer too
Forgot to reply back but I have now a PS5 and recently playing this and just amazed first time playing it and so glad to being playing it and really dig it too ❤️❤️❤️
If they keep this up. We might see "Main Theme of Final Fantasy VII - Battle" in Rebirth. Imagine if instead of Let the Battles Begin playing in the World Map we get a Rendition of the Main Theme but Battle version.
I'm glad! I'm going to do this for remake and rebirth as well. After I finish rebirth game playthrough 1st go. Currently I'm uploading part 30 I believe. So it'll be a bit but so long as I breathe and remain able my " Ost in game extension" variations shall return/ continue. Nero on hard mode just was a bigger hurdle than I was able to immediately handle. So in meantime if you have any pieces or requests while not promising anything I'd be happy to try to keep some in mind! Regardless thanks for caring enough to comment.
In pt 2 I want this to be a selectable battle theme when using Yuffie it's a great tribute to the original while Being a fantastic theme in it's own right.
Probably the best piece of music from the whole damn remaster, Yuffie's standalone chapter plays better than the main game, and I guess they took notes from Nier Automata on having multiple "versions" of a song based on the situation.
@@draconicthemoelion7726 it's a pretty common trope used in soundtracks all the time - just an extension of leitmotifs. would be odd to attribute it to any one game or company
@@Alpacnologia I think most games tended to settle on having a *one or two* leitmotifs they used throughout the soundtrack rather than having multiple map/situation type ones. I quite appreciated how Toby Fox had done it both from basically start to finish, having multiple leitmotifs that are continually re-enforced through the whole game between maps, boss fights, scenes, etc, and it helped Nier: Automata stand out as a game. Honestly the game otherwise would have been completely forgettable if it weren't for the musical choices.
The pacing in intermission is much better the last hour is one cool fight after another with no downtime. The factory in chapter 1 is a lot more fun to traverse with no lame stalling tricks to hide loading. This battle theme feels energetic and triumphant it's like Yuffie is finally getting the treatment she deserves.
Character's tutorial is always boring, but with every single one of them fighting with their own theme as the BGM is really cool. I retry Chadley's tutorials just for the themes. Too bad there is no option to switch the battle themes around.
I know right? Chadley's theme is sweet. He's proof that Scarlet and Hojo, or even Rufus can't tame the good of youthful hope yearning to learn. Scarlet letter and misbegotten bastardized heir or no. He and his feminine counterpart gives me hope for sephiroth in the end!
