Fahad Alajmi it looks like he’s using First Strike on Cloud and Aerith to start with ATB. This will help enable a quick stagger on the enemy. Then ATB stagger is likely equipped on everyone, so each member will have a boost from this initial stagger. Afterwards, ATB assist and Skill Master is likely on Tifa to generate her own ATB and the ATB of the team.
Awesomely executed! The strategy behind this is fascinating; my favorite part was when you stun locked Bahamut so that Tifa could safely use her Limit Break. I also loved the use of ATB Boost when using Aerith's Arcane Ward to not waste any time. Awesome run, dude. I'm subscribing.
Thanks, I appreciate the kind words and support. Bahamut was definitely the most tricky part for me since I needed to keep him still long enough use both Haste and Starshower before the Limit Break. I think there's still room to improve this method though.
@@ShinyShinryu As far as I know, this is the lowest in-game time I've ever come across. But we learn new things every day, so the thought of anything below your time is mind-blowing. I'm pretty sure you can do it!
UrDownWithDaSyndrome UrDownWithDaSyndrome he has the best accessory called Gotterdamerung, you get it after beating top secrets challenge the first time, equip on Tifa or any other character, and you get the limit break at the start, also charges the limit very fast for more limit breaks
@@CoachAH-BAY I don't know if he has time to answer. But there is a ridiculous method of killing Bahamut using just cloud. Pop his limit out the gate to close the distance, use self destruct off of the Enemy Skill materia with Warding+Subversion so that it takes hp damage to kill you instead of using instant death, which also staggers the boss, charges your limit again, which you pop off as soon as someone raises you, and then hack the last tiny bit of life off. I'm sure that using Tifa to run up the damage % while Cloud is getting raised by Aerith would be enough to finish with the limit. And considering how adept he was in the video, I'm sure he could adapt the strat in his own style, and possibly use it to rock the few bosses that took a little more time.
It's funny... when I fought him the first time and beat the challenge, he was super quick and easy for me... When I went through again with the prize/limitbreak, I got my ass kicked.
@@dutchlinde9976 same, but I had no limit break and no atb. Ifrit actually saved my ass by healing be while I was able to shave of the last sliver and kill bahamut. Then I was able to fully heal and gain back nearly all of my mp since I was basically invincible to ifrit. Tho it did make the shiva fight harder being fireproof made this and pride and joy way easier(not like pride and joy was hard, especially after fighting bahamut lol)
I am very proud to say that I was finally able to beat this challenge today 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 But my god was Bahamut hard to beat, Pride and Joy prototype was definitely easier to beat though. It feels so good to 100% this fun game. Now I’ll be able to Limit Break any enemy from now on 😁😁😁
It would help if he they opened their damn mouth and said what their setup was. I hate when people just show what they did without telling us what the hell their setup was. Without explanation this video is damn pointless.
@@anthonymartin407 he has other videos with his set up and a proper way of discussing how to do this. I gave up on this. To me it seems impossible to make it past leviathan. I don't have time to get good at it anymore so no Gotterdammerung for me. I tried even looking for someone to help me beat it via share play and nothing. All I get is git gud or you trash comments. This is why I hate the Jrpg and RPG community nin general these nerds take their games way too seriously to the point where they feel superior than others.
@MechaGodzilla lol i gave up long time ago sony had given me HZD for free played that and never looked back cause i started playing other games. Plus i own the ps4 version of this game. Considering what was changed and added in this new version on ps5 i dont even think i want to even be bothered with it anymore. Since now i feel the game is incomplete.. No yuffie etc. I have no reason to play at all
12 minutes is great I tell ya! Think I've seen another video went for an hour. I didn't watch thru the whole video to figure out how he/she stayed alive for so long lol.
this part took me hours to finish when i was going for the platinum. one of my proudest moments was finishing this despite it all. it became incredibly really fun when you knew what to do, melting the health bar with ease was the fun part
Bahamut: They think theyre tough wait til I summon Ifrit Bahamut stunned on the ground getting fked: Nvm I dont want Ifrit to see me like this, I'll just take the L
You have my respect, I was in despair when bahamut summons ifrit and use mega flare, but you whoops their ass so hard that they can barely move, such a big difference
Never get bored watching this. Especially watching you play. Thank you for the No damage guide before, got my platinum yesterday after 77 hours playing...
This one is relatively slow now lol, I've gotten my time down to 1:40 (still need to upload the video), and a couple others have a second or two faster time than that.
Shiva, Chocobo, Leviathan Bahamut : (enters the field and sees tifa aerith and cloud) --*hears bgm for boss fight playing Ifrit: uh oh need to go somewhere else safe. You can do it bahamut. Im rooting for you 😁
These are short fights and 50% hp/mp regen after each. Unlike hard mode, you need to conserve mp throughout the chapter. You haven't played it wrong just different scenarios. Have fun.
Thanks for the kind words. I don't think it's making a joke out of anyone though since this method (and faster ones) need the accessory you get from beating it, so of course a first clear won't be able to match it. That said, I am working on a guide showing how to get a quick first clear too, so hopefully that will help folks.
Ayo, thank you very much. I managed to beat it on around 5 tries. (Unfortunately Cloud & Tifa died when Ifrit came but killed him off with blizzaga from Aerith in the ward.)
That sounds pretty doable, just need petrify and added effect on your weapon and a bunch 4x Cut I imagine. You've inspired me, I think I might give that a whirl!
@Meadiocracy - I managed it in 130 seconds on 3x speed (according to the Emerald Weapon timer that I pasted on top of the vid). It's more like 150 in reality, if I go by the YT clock. Still, it's fun to watch. Also no magic or summons used... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FQbJpXkXtOU.html Please enjoy! I've also got a vid of me killing Emerald without a controller, which is quite neat. It's all your fault! Stop suggesting stupid things... I end up doing them!
He can do it that fast in part because he has already beat it before. You know this because he is using the accessory you get from beating the game on Tifa.
@@WCworkhorse Its all comes from skill too. I can finish the game and get everything but I wont have the ability and skill like him. Its doable yes, but I wont get to his level.
To be fair, he's already using the accessory that makes you start with a limit break, which you get for finishing this. Not that he wouldn't still be destroying them, just not as fast.
@@smithburgos5471 The equipment is shown at 6:18 in the video, but this is using the accessory you get for clearing the fight the first time. As such, this may not be a good reference for a first clear.
@@smithburgos5471 I would say just play defensively, like HP Up materia on everyone, level 2 or max Elemental + Fire on your armor so Ifrit is a non-issue. That said, for Bahamut in particular, you want to use -aga spells to interrupt him and try to just do as much damage as you can to pressure him. If you focus on building his stagger, you should be able to stagger him well before Megaflare is even cast, and if you're using the Elemental materia to be immune/healed by Ifrit, you can just ignore him until you beat Bahamut.
@@smithburgos5471 And don't use any summons until the bahamut fight, you get one summon for the whole challenge so wait and summon probably shiva for the stagger damage she provides.
@@alphaomega2630 Once you clear the challenge, you'll get the accessory, which fill your Limit gauge at the start of the battle. And guys, you only need to know the weaknesses of the bosses(fire and thunder) and abuse Aerith's Arcane Ward (double spell cast) to pressure them easier, once they are staggered, just use dmg skills to either dealing dmg or skills to make the stagger dmg goes higher (e.g True Strike) + your Limit (assuming you have the accessory).
Kulea Wow I imagine a vid without Gotterdammerung would be very long. I competed with game time 25min, but in real time it was close to an hour. Many strategies I’ve seen recommend using Barret instead of Tifa due to his survivability and being a long range dmg dealer helps tremendously in leviathan and bahamut fights. In my opinion Bahamut is the hardest, so prepare for that such as using elemental-fire Materia on your armour to get heals from ifrit summon. Stay alive and heal often, preferably with prayer to conserve Mp. After reading up on guides, I did it on my first attempt, but as mentioned before it took ages; so good luck!
I find lifesaver barret with steadfast block, hp up, chakra and prayer really really strong for keeping your team alive because he can build up atb from a safe distance fairly reliably and get more off of blocking. Along with this, for a general build i have him with magnify barrier materia to make sure folks dont die from big attacks. Other than barret, id definitely choose cloud with refocus and abuse his counter ability along with aerith personally
There's a bunch of guides out there on how to clear it playing defensively, so instead I've started working on a guide on how to get a fast clear without the accessory. Hopefully I'll be able to finish it tonight.
Currently trying to do this, so here’s my shot-by-shot reaction: Right off the back, I’m super impressed by your reflexes/reaction time. 2:58 Holy mother of Carbuncle! What even are you?! 4:19 Literally what the hell? 4:20 “Can’t I do this without the exploit tho?🤔😭” 5:45 “Ohh, they must be playing that other copy of the game. Lol.🤷🏽♂️” But gg. Mega quick reflexes.
HI man that was crazy. im new to ff game just finish normal mode. but i realy suk with tifa. can you give me an idea what combo order to use with her? what to start with and finish with attacking the bosses im decent with all other characters i just dont understand tifa combos
this is amazing omg btw what is the rationale for equipping parry materia? does the AI automatically use it? i didn't see you use it during the fight but maybe i missed it
@@ShinyShinryu ohhhhh i see so it makes it faster for her to move around the arena? i've only equipped cloud with it before so i was looking for his air flip. it's interesting to see you make use of the refocus materia to boost the stats. i've never been able to stagger bahamut in hard mode - is it actually possible? because you killed him while he was still in the pressured state. also - does having aerith and cloud berserked mean they will automatically attack faster therefore increase ATB meter faster?
@@hiatusinc The Berserk buff just increases damage done and damage taken. It's possible to stagger Bahamut; you have to maximize your use of Focused attacks during his Pressured states, but it almost feels not worth it since you could just win the fight by using attacks that do more damage instead.
Pretty much what hard mode is all about. Either you have a strategy where the battle is quick showing the boss no mercy or it can be long and painful. Like if you don't have a good strategy against Hell House.
U know what I loved most about this video is he or she actually shows what he was using to make this happen that is y I subscribe and left a like everyone that shows a speed run they never showed what they was using I’m like yeah coo u did it super fast good for u but what did u use to make it happen that easy
Any reason why bahamut wont fall to the ground for me? I went from hitting him with magic waiting for the pressured state right into him casting ifrit.
tried this strat and managed a 3:58 time. Lost time because I cant seem to get Bahamut down before he summons Ifrit, so I had to take them both out. I could have probably shaved off a good half a minute from the final fight, but at that point I was just vibin'
