literally no1 is gonna be playing this game mode solo, people will go in with friends and try to avoid friendly fire. This is a massive oversight by the devs, it happened all the time in albion online when they added 1 v 1 FFA pvp zones. They eventually removed the names of the players to prevent sniping and guild teaming
AGS devs are shoe size IQ and they proved time and time again, successful MMOs like WoW, FFXIV, GW2 all copied systems from one another, and tried to improve on them where they saw oppotunity. AGS didn't even bother to implement competitive PvP like ranked arenas after 3years, and they said they don't have anything planned for "near future" which may very well be we're stuck with OPR, 3v3, FFA zone for 1y+.
My strat will be getting all 28 treasure maps and just farming those daily elite caches since 28 is a LOT and the doubloons from those chests are not cursed. So pretty much really good reward with 0 risk cause you cant lose anything you get from the daily chests
Yo Mecrow just scrolling through my old NW clips the other day and I have a clip of me walking into mid, see an ice pylon up on the ramparts shooting down at you, you’re holding block, and 2 people are hiding behind you getting cover from the ice pylon while you hold your shield up to it lmfao funny asf bro. Just goofy ass shit and then I seen you still post about NW haha. You got high hopes for the update?
i think u need to look at the whole ffa zone first.. it actually seems rel well done, as far as having lots of elevation, obstacles, "hidden" routes n paths, and in general not being like the rest of the map.. which will make some weapons more usefull then u are saying.. f.e. IG, the way alot of the zone is, u would def be able to use IG to trap or disengage.. have areas and paths that u could easily block with shower and storm, and get away.. or lock them down if hunting. the way the ffa zone seems to be, is actually quite nice, i was surprised.. its not like the opr map or anything where range just has so much open space.
You usually have one main weapon (damage maybe spear, heal life staff, tanking sns). Then you usually have an off hand that offers some utility, defense or movement (hatchet for the defy death and movement speed, rapier for the defense and dashes, vg for the utility) and so on…
Great axe is not the best weapon vs ranged. Where is that coming from? It's never used in wars in the wide fight for a reason. If it was the best at that role it would have representation. It's not even used much in OPR for that purpose. Crippling Reap is very strong, but GA will lose to every other melee weapon in melee range. It's a utility skill like Net shot. To activate Bloodlust movement speed, which is likely why you think it's best vs ranged along with Reap, it has to run in a straight line. While running in a more or less straight line Aim-bot is going to shred the GA player. To close gaps vs ranged you want to likely be in S&S without GA out, then switch to GA to use Reap. GA will be a fun build but not a strong build as 1v1 it loses outright to nearly every other weapon. It's a back-bar weapon for 1v1. If a GA user fights a Spartan they literally can't even bring the GA out to use as the Spartan build will put them on the ground and cc chain them to death. Even having GA equipped next patch in 1v1 situations is a limiting factor to a build as GA can't win into a lot of other build combinations. To run away Hatchet and Rapier and even Great Sword with the Haste artifact will be superior along with bow haste spam. GA with crippling reap is mainly an OPR build to catch new players. It will be strong vs newer console players but be a handicap vs stronger builds as GA attacks are too slow, no grit, not a dueling spec. GA has never been a dueling weapon. For utility with Tempest Fury artifact to speed around with WW, Charge, Reap it could be a fun utility back-bar but vs cc bot builds (which are and will be popular) GA doesn't match up well. It's why Abyss isn't used in the wide fight at all in war with Fire Staff, because GA is crap vs spartan builds.
did they change boodlust? cuz u didnt always have to run in a stright line to activate it.. maybe ur settings are wrong? i can move one direction, and still move my aiming cursor, letting me keep bloodlust easy.. plus, u usually are trying to go in the direction of the target anyways.. wierd points u make. of course i am worried that the aimlock, esp, aimbot, will ruin skill based pvp.. but i see many other culprits being much more aggregioues
@@MrProbstandrew Its not wierd to point out that ranged roles counter melee non shield roles that run in a straight line at them, not the other way around. And I provided evidence by GA's current usage in competitive pvp, which is logical, not odd. Anyways I play GA/WH. I hope GA is dominant but I have more experience on the build then this cc who doesn't play the build regularly and was providing feedback. If your opinion and experience differs feel free to add your own thought.
Agree with everything you said. It can be very good against any 5 CON build. That is why it was considered good ranged counter at some point. No one going 5 CON and alone in the PvP area though.
@@MrProbstandrew They nerfed the activation of bloodlust at some point. It used to be look in someone's direction and you'll get it and now you have to have your cursor over them for a second and run at them and if they dodge or zig zag, you'll have a chance to lose it. The Tab Targetting Auto Aimbot feature may actually help witth this though.
Survivor's coat isn't as good as you think it will be. It's a heavy chest piece. There are much better mitigation oriented heavy chest pieces that will provide much more value than receiving very niche stamina, and 1 extra potion. The cleanse is nice but that piece isn't going to outperform featherweight, and for medium or heavy armor builds there are better artifact armor choices. It provides little value until you're losing the fight. Not a great strat.
@@GenDrake3 Was speaking in general to what other build artifact armor pieces are used for pvp builds. Featherweight offers much more value as an armor artifact. Its a constant value compared ro this HVY chest that has a conditional acrivation, mediocre active benefit, and 2 minute cd between receiving value. Ironheart and Darkplate are also constant benefit as is Freedom pants. This chest piece won't be used much. Its sub-par.
id agree.. and in general, we should know by now, that we will have to see how these new things are in the actual live game.. can only speculate untill then.. and tiny lil things about how an artifact is coded f.e., can make a huge dif, as to if op or trash.. and then even other stuff, we know how they can change on a dime.. tunring perks or tech on its head. we just really have to wiat and see..
Why nobody plays great axe with great sword? And u didnt mention it neither when asked about great axe? (Im new to game). On paper it feels like it should work well
two simular weapons.. folks usually like to chose one wep that has good utility and/or movement, and one that is ur dps.. f.e. to get the most outta a build.. and some weapons just synergise really well.. however, there are GS/GA builds.. usually in opr or open world pvp only.. imo. the hatchet makes a better offhand for those two weps.. instead of pairing em with eachother
Issue with that build is if you're not using skills you've got nothing, you're better with at least one weapon that has some left click power, so SNS or hatchet are always going to be a better pairing choice, even spear would be better to swap in
@@snakeskins777 my bigest fear is that meele hatchet is gona be so op and unstopable that will ruin pvp, and my beloved rapier is fall deeper into only use in off hand, it will be a shame
@MorcegoYar hatchet has taken rapiers spot as a movement weapon of choice because of how good berserk is against cc. Altho... with target lock fleche + Lmb turns into an automatic backstab
but why? as a healer u are best equipped to go farm the zone, and get out with ur loot without dieing.. unless u want to hunt and kill folks, which i cant imagine being too profitable(def not as profitable as just farming solo with ls) ive never played healer, but ill prolly make a ls build for looting the ffa zone. specially when their are folks teaming up in there. a good healer can survive multiple opponents easy. and then id switch to a dif build when i just wanna pvp in the zone..
