Just a note that I didn't really feel like bringing up in the video because I just don't have any Eureka experience. But you can also get Behemoth Horns through a Eureka Fate "Third Impact" which also drops Behemoth Pelts which you can use to exchange Behemoth Helms into Replica Behemoth Helms which are a true Glamour items that can be worn by any class.
The eyes have it can actually be done solo very easily if you have blue mage leveled since the boss is vulnerable to both ram’s voice and ultravibration mean it can be killed in one shot
To this, I'll add that both "The eyes have it" and "Go go Gorgimera" can be cheesed by a solo blue mage with the various abilities with as Doom, Tail Screw, Ultravibration, etc. I don't think any major FATE in Heavensward can be done that way, but I can confirm that "The evil seed" in The Fringes (in Stormblood) can be cheesed in that manner too.
i remenber almost soloing the dark devices chain with my chocobo and level 60 scholar, went all the way to the end, only to be meet with not enough dps, but i kept fighting anyway. thankfully a ninja appeard and helped me beat it before the timer ran out
I made the unfortunate mistake of thinking the Coeurlclaw King was a normal notorious monsters. He really should have an achievement attached to him. He also appears in the Delivery Moogle questline as well. And considering how Keeper society is the fact that this male is the leader of the Coeurlclaws kind of makes him a legend.
The Costa del Sol crab was a pain, even though it was fun - I think I was at it for twenty minutes. My first friend left because it took so long, then my other friend joined and helped me with it for fifteen minutes, and finally a random joined at 10%. But it was all worth it when we got the Smallshell! Not sure if I’m happy or not to know that there’s even more fates like it xD
Awesome video! I already made some of these fates completely by chance, and I think I will go after the others now! Looking forward for more videos like this one!
even after years, i only sort of knew that the boss fates were present back in ARR but one day on my alt I stumbled upon the crab one with a bunch of people doing it, so i scored myself a cute minion in the process!
In regards to the tougher fates and if you have no friends. Level Blue Mage. No seriously. Blue Mage gets to use their entire spell book even if they're leveled sync'd down to Level 1. This makes Blue Mage INSANELY powerful for soloing lower level FATEs due to having entire bars of skills VS being stuck with half a rotation and one OGCD like other jobs. Blue Mage Spells are also extremely broken. You can disable entire hoards of enemies for up to 15-20 seconds at a time, grind them to dust with primal skills, or even setup combos that can one shot nearly anything. Some older FATE bosses have also not been balance passed for BLU so it's possible to end a potentially tough FATE that requires a group, all on your own by just one shotting the boss as soon as combat starts. Also it goes without saying but, if you haven't leveled your Chocobo yet, do so. Just having a pocket healer can make a lot of solo open world content easier as well.
Imma get that Baby Bun and Baby Bat minions! I appreciate you telling us the alternate route to getting them through the materiel containers, but it doesn't feel right to get them that way. I want to fight for my minions and do it the proper way. Now if only I could get someone to help me for the Lazy for You FATE.
I'm working on Heavensward as we speak. Also yeah saw those errors, not egregious for me to pull down the video, doing that kills the algorithm and I need all the algo juice I can get.
Having dived into the fates again, I had kind of forgotten how difficult these things can be. I got my Baby Bun with me and one healer and it was an ENDEVOUR to get. Worth it though.
Lazy for you was one of the first fates I walked into and I got rolled immediately making me scared of fates for ages T_T. I didn't expect that on a low level fate my attacked did like nothing lol. Ended up using my BLU later
I recommend BLU for farming fates solo. All of his skills are level 1, so you always have all of your skills available. Unlike other Jobs who only have 1 AOE and just a 1-2-3 single target rotation. BLU skill have also higher potency then the normal synced down Job which results in much more dmg. But please mind the other fate participants, especially during something like the YoKai event. Dont 1 hit KO fates and give other the chance to tag monsters. Make a group with them and hunt them together.
I always do fates on my way specially if they have NPCs fighting because I want to "save them" 😅 Then with Boss fates I just like fighting big monsters for fun.
The Coeurlclaw King FATE is not really one that the devs "forgot", but back in 2.0 days, FATEs were the best ways to level up your alt jobs, as dungeons gave really bad EXP, so most people did FATEs as the best method of levelling up, and these FATEs gave amazing EXP for their level range. This FATE in particular was a great EXP FATE for its level region back in the 2.0 days, which was its main benefit. Since back before the dungeon & "EXP rework" as a whole was done, each individual enemy used to give its full EXP as long as you tagged it, regardless of how much damage you did to each mob, so people often did these FATS letting as many adds spawn as they could and only killing the actual boss in the last few seconds of the time allowed.
