This is such perfect timing. Last night, I got a friend into FF. We stopped just before Sastasha due to lack of time, but he's playing Maurader/Warrior, and I intend to heal.

Let them cook, but if I see someone running away with a stack marker, they're getting rescued.

My tanking & my friend's healing combined is a complete trainwreck of "this is fine trust me" "IM POPPING LIVING DEAD" this is why our characters are eternal bonded.

A friend of mine who always played DPS exclusively has started leveling Warrior as his first. I always love tagging along and just watching. He gets so nervous when I just quietly giggle to myself whenever he messed something up.

I just ran my third dungeon today with a newbie - a very unusually high number, but I'm not cmplaining. It's fantastic seeing the game fresh through their eyes, the raw enthusiasm and same amateur mistakes you remember making yourself once upon a time. Sprouts are a gift.

Gosh im still a sprout made it all the way to starting stormblood....before my compy broke. Im a warrior and i had trouble understanding all these signals alone especially after they changed when praetorium got updated. Love ur animations so much.😊

Sometimes we all just gotta learn the hard way. Most of the time, actually. Also it's quite funny because the sprouts bring you the things that will kill you, but then run away with the things that'll kill them (stack marker). xD

I've recently picked up healing again. I feel this in my lily.

I'm really glad we can laugh at this sort of thing. I recently tried some other MMOs where as a new player, not knowing a fight is kin to murder.

This is what happened in the raid at the end of heavensward when the entire raid was sprouts and we did not center at all on the ones the targets were on

As a healer, I felt that.

I used to think flare markers meant that three line AOEs were going to shoot out from the three arrows on the indicator so I would only adjust a tiny bit and get mad when I would die or when others died

Let's not forget when sprouts run away from everyone when they have a stack marker. Fun fact, I actually had a troll healer in the Puppet's Bunker the other day. On the third boss, when he does High Powered Lasers on the tanks, the Healer used Rescue on me and killed himself, the other healer, and 3 DPS with that.

We all make dumb mistakes starting out. The important thing is that we learn from them.

And this is why I play Tank. No matter how much the sprout messes up I have enough HP for a life time.

Its funny, the more used to healing you are alongside a tank in a similar context, the less it feels like you actually heal. So when I actually need to heal a sprout tank, my brain suddenly turns into that guy coughing on Carolina Reaper Chili Peppers saying "What the fuck?"

I was very adaptive as a sprout mainly because anything that shiny is dangerous

Being a Healer ain't easy, but it's a honest gaming.

As a healer main, you made me laugh and so you get a like and a sub, enjoy good Ser.

This is why i drag sprouts through the pits of PotD and introduce them to hell early on. Payback for the future.

And on the flip side is someone running away with the stack marker, and it’s not a tank ready to invuln

as a sprout that's on free trial and has only beaten ARR im so fucking glad i didn't pick a tank as my first class

Tbf, some of the mechanics can be very confusing But to be fair, tbf; A marker with a pulsating thing, should tell you to GET TF OUT- *boom

As a healer main that has just hit Endwalker a few days ago and trying out the Pandaemonium raid series... I **AM** the mechanics.

There are people who have been playing for years who still don't know what the giant arrows pointing to them means so I can forgive a sprout.

This reminds me of when I started trying tanking in sastasha dungeon. I got yelled at for not knowing how to use aoe attack on mobs and not keeping enmities. I think i stayed off tanking for a few months after that. Good times 😊

Im a sprout tank, and im having a grand adventure. All these new, wonderful ways to explode like a pinata full of fireworks. I dont get why my healers all sound so stressed though.

As someone who has played this game for nearly 9 years. I still mess up with markers. Especially the stack marker….

I only just started playing ff last week and im now getting into healing- about to reverse psychology all my tanks

This is me. Im a tank main, but when I can, I try to heal for my DPS sprout fren. Ive also done up hotbars for them and more, cause they're stuck on console QwQ

Okay but as a two-month sprout who's just starting Heavensward, the fact that all these different indicators are utterly inconsistent, as in the same indicator will mean vastly different things in different fights, how on earth is a person actually expected to know what these actually mean until they fail to them at least once? Like, it's set-up for blind players to flounder. I love the game, I wouldn't have completed ARR otherwise, but this is one of its big weaknesses for me, is how inconsistent it is with conveying essential information like this.

That exact same thing happened yesterday during a nier raid... The healers refused to res the tank after the 3rd death... Sadly for them I was playing res mage...

I still get sprouts in Praetorium who run away from stack markers XD

You'll be happy to know I never did that despite being a sprout tank! Tbf though I've been a tank in other mmos with similar mechanics.

By what I heard, MMOs aren't often beginner friendly... I wonder what the odds are that the sprout here'll still be playing in a month's time.

I remember getting my friend into ff14 and healing him thru most of ARR, he chose maurader/warrior as I suggested as its one of the easiest most brain dead classes even if its a tank job this same man went on to clear all of Pandemonium and UwU in PF.
