pvp in generall has like the most hype-inducing BGM's, be it frontlines, feast or just duels. maybe SE trying to bait people into PvP saving the best bgms for that? xD

this literally reminds me of old school trance...... it's one of my favorite genres which is why I had to find this. At this I thought there was something playing in the background on youtube, but then I couldn't believe it's FFXIV music!

Yeah there's a lot of rearrangements and using motifs all over the shop to match what's going on (this is mostly a rearrangement of Melt, the standard Heavensward battle theme for example). Masayoshi Soken is the composer, he took over after Nobuo Uematsu a while back.

Love duelling, just wish cool downs would reset after a fight or leaving the arena...also...grit isn't a good idea when duelling....all about that damage ;)

DarkOmegaZero actually, against a SMN it's a good idea, grit before they dot, drop once they've dotted and you still take less damage from the dots till they're refreshed

She's wearing the Eikon Leather caster top (crafted il220) with the adept's thighboots, which are the level 57 crafting ones you can buy with blue scrips. Those are the main bits.

Pro-tip Dark Arts is your friend with or without Grit. lol Without grit a full Dark Arts Sould Eater combo with buffs will hit as much as two normal combos easily. Use Dark Arts people. Also Dark Arts with Dark Mind will increase a lot of magic def which would make that fight very one sided.

This was before Stormblood came out. Then, PvP didn't have a combat system of its own and had you use PvE actions.

Duels against my smn are mostly endet up in 5 skills -> ur rekt :3 (not tested against tanks but most other classes yes xd)

Hope Tia Yup, MCH also got crazy burst, maybe even stronger than SMN. It's entirely dependent on Between the Eyes though, so if someone hits your target out of bind or whatever you'll fail miserably.

Mekkah Dee unleash got its bind just very recently as DRK is pretty much the worst tank in pvp unfortunately. so basicly since the first update after 3.0 release we got pvp-buffs in about every single patch xD

oh another thing i can reccomend when playing DRK especially in PVP, the typical DA-DD -> DA-DP combo for blind + evasion works wonders there as well. had it happen once on a MNK who lost his greased lightning because he failed to hit me during that stuff :D
