Blue Lock kills P12S P1 in 6:10 as part of the Apollo Community Speedkilling event.

Over the course of a month, we have been practicing quite a ridiculous LB plan. I originally theorised Eos generation, and Acedia from LB factory showed me that it was already possible to generate on 1 person after a raidwide for free single-target.
Since then I've refined the abuse of Eos AI and now we can relatively consistently generate from Eos using proximity baiting, which allowed us to generate LB3 at 0:44, something that has never been done before.
Combining Eos gen and single target healing using SCH's lustrate let us make the plan 90% consistent, which meant a lot more consistency for the LB1 at the end of the fight, since we were LB3ing a full 30 seconds earlier than previously thought possible.
We're very proud of this time. I will hopefully be posting a more interesting video including commentary on this channel soon, where I go over all the details and tricks that we abused.
Originally our plan had 2xLB3 1xLB2, but due to time constraints and honestly mostly motivation we decided to stop at the LB1 at the end.
6:09 is definitely possible here, which was the meme goal time, while 6:10 was Skyler's original goal time (something which he masterfully predicted).

Its a mixed bag. If you do the adjust it becomes a lot less precise but if you dont youre going to need legitimately perfect positioning throughout the party to make it work. Really finnicky strat

Do you have any advice for learning how to play AST at a high level? The Balance has some basic guides, but there doesn't seem to be a lot of resources that really break down the nuances of jobs and even go on an encounter-by-encounter basis. Discord really is kinda rough on archiving resources unfortunately, especially from before the forum/thread stuff

Alright, this is a hard one to answer. You're completely right that high level AST optimization has quite the lack of resources, but that's mostly due to the fact that it can go in depth to ludicrous levels. The Balance will tell you a general card priority on 1 minutes, and that's a good start. It's where I started as well, but the further you go, the more you also need to know about other jobs to succeed. The big difference between a good and a great AST is their knowledge of what every DPS job's abilities do, and thus, the first real step to mastering AST in high end is to learn optimization for all the relevant DPSers as well, something that isn't something you can just write down into a document and read; you learn by doing instead. For this fight specifically, I sat down with my DPS and looked through all 1 minutes and bursts as the sessions went on, and thus managed to find the absolute optimal card usages, but that's only because I have dps whom I can trust. In PF, I simply throw cards on whatever dps is most consistent on doing their burst. SMN's and NIN's are the best targets, since they always burst at the same time and you can roughly expect the same kind of abilities to be in there. Aside from carding, there's obviously the factor of Astrodyne optimization, and my god.. I have no clue where I'd start, and still don't. This current opener and rotation is literally just something I cooked up myself, but I would not be able to tell you if it's optimal at all. I had to work with extreme LB gen conditions, and felt like this was the most comfortable way to do it (precarding, losing 1 astrodyne in the fight, pot without astrodyne). My spreadsheet on this looks incredibly barebones as well, but I think what I understand about AST is that the little aDPS optimizations don't end up mattering as much in the long run, which lets me be satisfied even though the rotation perhaps isn't perfect. On encounter by encounter basis, yeah. I'd say definitely that's a point the Balance can heavily improve on. If the Balance is up for it I can even help them create these fight by fight guides. However, it's still the truth that AST just has so many bloody options to pick from. You can do so many combinations of cards and astrodynes and redraws and even more and you'd go about equal every single time. In high end speeds, your most optimization will be in gaining a malefic (like my malefic pre-limit cut) and the cards that you dish out, at the perfect timings if possible (notice I swiftcast malefic to get the 1 minute card in at the right time). In terms of Astrodyne greeding, there's always a voice in my head that wishes it was easier, but it really isn't. In the end every single card and whether you redraw it or not is purely based on "it depends". Do you have a perfect ranged card astrodyne for 3 sigils? Do you redraw it anyway for Melee? "It depends". Check all the damage done, check all the things you gain or lose, and then perhaps you will know the answer, but it's impossible to give an easy answer with these things, which is probably why documentation on AST is so flawed. That said, if you card the right jobs at nice times, you're already good enough to hit consistent 99s, as long as you hit your malefics throughout the fight. Anyway, was a long rant but it's a topic I've also sturggled with in the past, so hopefully I'm passing on some wisdom :)

would be sub 6min possible with crit luck? or impossible cus of LC?:o sorry im new to this speedkill stuff

Your curiosity is well placed :) Short answer, no, it's not possible. Long answer: The reason why the 6 minute barrier is so closely contested is because thats exactly when the final buff window comes up. In the kill you can see we buff extreme early, in my case even before the pull starts, to get those buffs back for the final burst of damage. If you look at the boss health bar in the last 10 seconds, you'll see it gets deleted really hard since we pump all our strong stuff in a couple seconds. If you would go below 6 minutes, suddenly those buffs wouldn't be viable anymore, so you need to start looking at alternative buff timings. Technically it would be possible to do a 1-3-5 buff setup, where you would buff right after limit cut to get the final burst in. This would technically be stronger than only doing 0-2-4, but consider this: Teams are already struggling to get 6:13, can we somehow shave 13 seconds worth of damage outside of buff windows? The answer is just kinda no. There's still the possibility of generating an extra LB3, but even that won't be enough to get the kill in time. Hope that answers it!
