You are welcome to tell me why the characters are interesting. Show me cutscenes where characters interact with one another and show some actual personality.

Different strokes for different folks I suppose but I disagree with that sentiment myself. For me their have been quite a few characters to pop up in FFXIV story which I have liked. Most of the scions especially Urianger, Ysale, as a DRG main Estenien is my my bro, Haurchefant, especially Haurchefant, Gosetsu and Yugiri, Lord Hien. Illberd was a well written antagonist. I really can't remotely agree with you my friend.

Please tell me why you find them interesting. What opinions do they have that clash with other characters? Like Alphinaud. What strong opinions does he have and how does is differ from the other members of the scions, and what new opinions does he gain or drop?

I don't necessarily judge whether I like characters by the same qualifications that you might, keep that in mind. But I like the twins because they are characters still growing into roles of high expectations and trying to figure out what it all means. Their grandfather was some great savior of the world and they are stumbling along trying to make their own way and live up to that family name. They don't always succeed, and sometimes they are naive and fail like Alphinaud with his failed Crystal Braves endeavor, but he dusted himself off and he kept moving forward having learned a valuable lesson. To your opinion, while I liked Papalymo quite a bit and the dynamic between he and Lyse especially since they were the first Scion's I met as a Lancer starting out in Gridania, Papalymo was far from my favorite character in the game. I actually like Moenbryda more and she had far less exposure.
