Mods: Kingly Raiment Suit - Nsept0403 ( / nsept0403 ) FF7 Remake Cloud - subzeroshell (steamcommunity.com/profiles/7...) Music: FF7 Remake - Let the battles begin! all done ingame, using after effects for the cinematic editing
im suprised that this video exploded in popularity once again since i upload that vid on twitter 1 year ago only now i edited the voice over and sfx in for this video. reading all the questions in the comment section, i will try to answer the best i can: is this animated? no, its just me recording the game a dozen time to get a perfect capture of me controlling noctis while fighting the noctis boss from ardyns episode using a FFVII Remake cloud mod that is available on steam and replacing noctis model with the Kingly Raiment suit (credits goes to the talented modders subzeroshell and Nsept0403) how do you make this look so cinematic? no hud mod + after effects editing, using AE build-in camera to focus on the action frame by frame. change ingame camera setting in ffxv to nearest, while also focusing the ingame camera during the fight buster sword where? its a noctis boss just with a cloud skin over, yes its basically noctis fighting noctis here, no buster sword. other than that, im astonished by the response that some thought that its animated goes to show that the ffxv devs really nailed the cinematic feeling as well the top notch character animation in the game, considering that ffxv is already 5 years old! and i really enjoy the discussion here reading all the theories who might win the battle between our fav spikey bois
This video exploded because people are sharing the link in alot of facebook groups. Great work nonetheless its amazing how open sourced software has allowed us to make things like this and it's sad on my part not having a computer these days.
@@StealthRift it's basically just creating the camera object, then bind it to a null object then you just turn the gameplay footage into a 3d space, from there you can move the xy position to move and to zoom in/out on the null object to track the action precisely for your gameplay footage. i think my recent genshin video gives you an better idea how it will look like since you can see the hud moving around the screen. to smoothen the track, just easy ease after you keyframe the camera work. it's really just tinkering with the the camera and do the adjustments in after effects, best inspiration is checking sunhilegends gameplay gifs on twitter hes basically the pioneer when it comes to those cinematic gameplay edits.
His Omnislash V6 is already pretty much a mini Armiger tbh. He just doesn't have sustained and fine tuned control over it like Noctis does. Nomura's been on the whole magically controlled swords thing for a while though, even Ventus and Sora in Kingdom Hearts have similar moves/forms.
@@sankzear4555 actually it's the other way around , since it's out doors cloud is gonna have a harder time hittinging noct since he can just warp anywhere he wants and phase throu most of clouds magic , noctis phases throu magic in game as well , unless it's AoE , then you go back to warping i.g.
I often fantasize about bringing the top games past 5 years to 2000-2004 and just watch people mind's explode by the graphics. Imagine people in 2002 seeing: GOW 4, FF VII remake, HALO, The Last of US, etc.
I’ll be honest, I liked it better back in the day. The graphics are nice, don’t get me wrong, but most of the content out nowadays, is just soulless. Not to say there wasn’t soulless crap out back then, it was just infinitely easier to suss it out than it is today. So many reviewers conveniently forgetting microtransactions and bugs that make games virtually unplayable after the first level. Sad.
@@MerlinTheCommenter i dont think its soulless, and i think the biggest and almost only flaw about FF7 remake is the obligatory side quests, just my honest opinion
@@MerlinTheCommenternah, there were games plenty shit back then too and today's games, that aren't western atleast, aren't really written worse, you're just missing a time where you were still happy and your parents were still together
The whole game was amazing characters included. People didn't like it because of the car, but the whole goal was to slow down and enjoy the scenery, take it all in. Not many people stop to just enjoy the hard work that they put into gorgeous backgrounds and building of friendships/ relationships grow with the story.
@@Phoniexwolf209 Well said. I agree, this game quickly became one my top 3 favorite FF games. I loved every bit of it, was a nice change of pace and having a full male party instead of generic "waifus" also was something that fit its story. Dont think it would have worked with 4 women.
I don't care about power scaling, all I wanna say is that I love that we're at the point where jrpg action gameplay already looks as cool as in the cutscenes
@Jay Bee I liked how they updated it in the Remake. Definitely like a loving homage to the turn-based system while incorporating the more action based modern systems.
It doesnt FEEL very cool though. XV and VII are literally just mashers and you do all the crazy combos. There's only so much enjoyment I can get out of completely owning everything by just pressing a couple buttons over and over. No thought or skill to it.
@SandorThePuppy I don't think that's how it works lol that's like seeing someone play a game in a cartoon and saying it's a well done game... It just don't work like that so chill out
Ladies and gentlemen talking about power scaling u forgot one thing. Ignis beat a no holding back Noct who called the boys to back him up and still lost. So the question isn't can Cloud beat Noct, its is Cloud more powerful than Ignis 👀
Idk man. Composite noctis kinda stomps cloud. Like noctis can just phase through shit like nothing, plus the ring of luci, plus the power of all the past kings, plus he can just summon at will. As much as I love cloud, noctis is the most OP main final fantasy character besides lightning
@@zelohendricks51 Well yes, if there was heavy attacks and light attacks, I would prefer it, but I am already pretty happy with overlevelling and defeating a boss in 2 minutes.. Lmaoo (Also Ragnarok Warp-strike spam)
I just started playing it and I'm liking it. Takes some getting used to, especially when you have a bunch of enemies around you and you cant dodge fast enough.
@@ecor150 according to general feats? Yeah, Lightning is the Strongest. according to Lore? She actually doesn't beat Noctis OR Cloud. Noctis's Ring of Lucii has a spell called Alterna that literally is described as "breaking open the fabric of reality, and opening a gate to eject enemies to another dimension." Not to mention Noctis literally uses the ring to transcend into "the beyond" which is "the realm between life and death where the God's were said to originate", and literally kills the immortal king by erasing his existence there.
One, would really love to see an animated battle now with both going all out! And two, they would make for an interesting friendship. I didn't realize they're about the same age (Cloud at the absolute most is 21 in FF7/Remake and Noctis for most of FFXV is 20). They'd have little in common other than the goal of protecting the ones they care about but Noctis is actually approachable and is generally pretty quiet except when something truly excites him (such as the Assassin's Festival. His excited babbling to tell Cindy the lore of the festival was too adorable). I think they could go from sparring buddies to a general friendship if Noctis downplays his royalty as much as possible, which he already pretty much does. Both know what it's like to have a member of their family murdered...and that's an extremely specific thing to find kinship in. They both wield very poweful abilities, making them stand out from everyone else around them. And...both have a ticking clock above them to an early death (I was surprised President Shinra admitted to it in Remake. Unless they again change something, as it stands, the mako Cloud has been dunked in several times is going to lead to his own degradation, just like with Angeal and Genesis. And Noctis is set to die early due to the Crystal's powers). That's actually now really frickin depressing. Like a mini cancer support group where each week, news of another lost member is reported. Except with it just being these two, one day, one of them just...is gone. I can see it as Noctis going to take his 10 year nap and in that time...Cloud passes away. Aw crap, now I'm tearing up thinking about it and these aren't even real people! But I think I have my next one-shot that I'll write 😂
Yeah. Cloud can be a little hard to get through to, and Noctis can actually be a little on the shy or quiet side sometimes, but they would get along. I think they'd have a lot of respect for each other because they care about their friends and are willing to sacrifice to do what's right, even if it means their lives. They probably have a quiet kind of friendship with Noctis potentially reaching out more, because Noctis has an actually pretty decent upbringing and a lot of time fostering strong friendships (and yes, trauma, but he's spent a good chunk of his life being very well cared for and actually being pretty normal as a teen, if a little reclusive. We never really see him lord his position over other people or anything, even if he is the one giving orders.) Personally, I always thought that since Regis knew Noctis' fate, he let Noctis live a normal life and was training Ignis to take over. Which is sad, but it did let Noctis be pretty well-adjusted, so I think he would push a healthy friendship with Cloud, who tends to have more problems with mental PSTD-like stuff and has more trouble talking to people. Noctis is more like a normal shy, Cloud is more traumatized and mentally broken down.
@@Alvin-xs7db Very true! I would figure they'd meet in such a way that Cloud would be intrigued, such as in the middle of fighting, say, a behemoth, Noctis warp-strikes into the battle with an attack, or sends the Armiger to attack. Cloud's seen some crazy things while in the military but no SOLDIER has ever had the power of telekinesis and warping (aside from Sephiroth, that is). It would be enough to make Cloud wonder who the heck Noctis is and how is he so powerful. It wouldn't be an immediate friendship but give it time and a few battles together and I think Cloud would come around to trusting Noctis. A sob story about Noctis losing his family and kingdom and a plea for help returning to his own world (for some reason, I envision it with Noctis going to the FF7 world, since there's much more shennanigans to be had for a plot), and Cloud would probably be willing to assist. "For a price," he'd probably say :)
Bro wtf are you talking about "Cloud has a ticking clock" he literally dropped into the Lifestream itself and came out fine. And then survived for at least three years with the only ill effects being when the trio corrupted the Lifestream
@@ShadowmancerLord Maybe it's not kicked in yet. Keep in mind that a lot of stuff for FF7 is in the process of being rewritten and updated, and President Shinra informing that the mako kills SOLDIERs only happened in Remake. I believe they're going with alternate dimensions/divergent timelines as being the reason for the differing story from the original, so maybe the original Cloud will be fine, but Remake Cloud will see an effect. Or, because Cloud isn't truly a SOLDIER, he'll be alright because the process in which he gained his strength isn't exactly how a SOLDIER is made. Who knows? But that remains to be seen, but from what has been given so far, it's been alluded to that Cloud might be in for a short life.
Would’ve been cooler if cloud actually used his sword. As for who would win, I’m sure all of the heroes of each FF are fairly equally matched in terms of skill.
@@rex_ad_regum7540 Noctis too , noctis is the 2nd most haxed main character in the series if you don't include FFXIV other than lightning which is the strongest main character in FF , reason: her creator and writer simped for her ...a little bit too hard.
@Doktor i believe you,re missing something all the fights against rude and reno, weren,t hard at all and serve the story telling. So they are to be understood as small pass time quarrels. Cloud actually never fought sephiroth on a 1 on 1 fight except after sephiroth god mode. In that 1 on 1 fight it is just showcasing that cloud has finally surpassed sephiroths level. It is basic story telling 101.
Noctis does have a very imaginative super power. Having like an ever present back pack that you can just turn things into crystals and then summon them up at any moment is pretty cool.
I've been wanting to see a friendly fight between these two for some time, because with both having incredible powers they seem neck and neck with mobility and strength, and their move sets, it's almost as if they mirror each other. I'm a huge FF franchise fan, 7 being my favorite, but all of them are amazing and bring gorgeous music and fantastic storyline to the table, you just can't put them down.
Cloud is pure strength of will. Noctis does have a slight advantage with his teleporting and godlike avatar mode he can go in tho. Its hard to say who would win. I gotta go with Cloud merely because he beat Sephiroth and in Sephiroths time he was the strongest. He was fast. Had insane strength and yet Cloud still beat him.
Awesome fight, thanks for showing how underrated FFXV combat can be sometimes. Also which model did you swap to fight against? This looks like the moveset from the noctis fight from Episode Ignis, however he isn't teleporting neither dodging like noctis
ffxv might be not super complex but the simplicity of the combat has its charm, also the noctis boss is from the ardyn episode that you fight in the extra battle.
Even tho I love my boy cloud I have to give it to noctis his teleporting is OP and he has multiple lines of attack and defense and in his limit break he can shoot weapons like a gun
@@calantheshaman Noctis is faster and stronger. Most every FF list has him in the top ten in terms of strongest protags. Not even incluing gameplay, lore wise he's practically Jesus or godlite.
In terms of controlled characters, I feel Cloud would win. In terms of power in the lore? Noctis is probably one of the strongest FF protagonists period, and Cloud wouldn't stand a chance against him. Of course, gameplay and lore aren't always perfectly accurate to each other
I love XV and VII. So. This. Is. Something for me ❤️ (I know that it is a mod, but I would LOVE this crossover). And I know there is Dissidia. But you guys did get what I mean 😂
Im a huge ff7 fan but as far as i know noctis is stronger. Cloud's strongest attack is omnislash and noct.. kinda has omnislash all the time. As long as noct has mana he wont get hit no matter how fast the enemy is, he basically has ultra instinct.
Maybe, but cloud defeated sephiroth. So you'd think Noctis wins vs Sephiroth as well? I'd argue adult Noctis would definitely have a chance, but the Noctis in the video would get bodied.
@@Choccss cloud beat seph with a party. Also, seph doesn't actually takes fights too seriously, whenever he fights cloud he only toys with him mostly by using illusions (even supernova is an illusion). But anyway noct vs seph is a different match up, we're talking about cloud vs noct and we all know noct counters everything cloud has.
@Ahmad Adnan Seph was playing with him most of the time in that movie and have you heard about plot armor? Because most MCs have that. If Seph was taking it seriously he should've gone one wing from the start, and this was a stronger version of Cloud not from the OG FF7, he still loses to Seph if he doesn't have that cringey power of friendship plot armor shit right at the end of the fight. And Spoiler alert Seph beats Cloud in FF7 remake, blocked all of Cloud's omnislash attack and disarmed him, Seph could've killed him right there if he wanted to.
This is awesome! I have to admit Noctis is just cooler too watch in terms of moveset, as much as I love Cloud. I know people bash XV's gameplay but I really enjoyed just teleporting everywhere in fights lol.
They're both pretty cool in their own ways. It definitely makes me appreciate that SE keeps trying new and different stuff throughout the series. They don't just say, "This is how the jobs and magic work and we'll keep re-using the exact same thing each time". I like XV's fighting, and I really like the Remake how they decided to 'update' the old fighting system, too. It had a pretty neat balance of kind of being like the old turn-based system and choosing moves, but adding more action like modern day games. They did a really great job with it. Noctis is definitely a fun fighter to use. He's so versatile.
Actually people bash XV just because the storytelling isn't that good and leave a lot of plot holes (which why they made the dlc) but the gameplay is actually pretty amazing, it's uniqe and cool.
The combat in FFXV is one of the best compared to any other game. There are 2 reasons why some people bashed it: 1. The turn-based combat boomers 2. The ones that had no clue how to use it properly nor did they bother to learn the semi-complex combat. Unfortunately nowadays especially, a big part of gamers want much easier combat, just press a button and the character does a really cool move.
Noctis beats Cloud quite easily though if we going by actual power. He's a God by tthe end of FF15 having all the blessings and Kings weapons. The Astrals state he even surpasses them
@@jpf7942 Cloud don't even have any of his Materia and you're already listing all of Noctis's weapons 😂 give Cloud his Materias and we'll see who's broken 😂
@@gaspenpayne6755according to square enix, noctis is ranked as the top 3 strongest protagonist they ever made, while cloud doesnt even make to the top 5
@@gaspenpayne6755 go and tell me if u see ur dear cloud on this list, and if u cant accept it on not seeing ur favorite character, i can give u another one
This fighting between who is the stronk-est is a little silly, as these two are both crazy strong. Both have access to crazy game destroying resources (hero drink, Yufi transform monsters into various stat increasing items, summons etc.) so cloud may get to a state that no damage can be inflicted, it depends on the plot armour really.
I don't have a conclusion about who will win this is only what my opinion about the duel of this two without bias. The teleporting thing of Noctis is not really a big advantage for him because Cloud is used to fighting faster opponents than him based on Advent Children fight scenes I think in my opinion Sephiroth is not that far beyond Noctis in terms of speed or even Tifa, but what I'm not sure about is if Noctis can handle Cloud's pure strength brutality, remember the guy is swinging the biggest swords of all the franchise games along with Garland like its nothing. 😅 All in all it will be a really good showdown.
@@nobody-xh6ii in terms of an actual fight, Noctis vs Ardyn was a draw at best. Was it a win for humanity, yes, however both died and both disappeared into the void.
@@nobody-xh6ii Cloud is not slow at all. Noctis is faster, yes, but Cloud can fight riding a motorcycle, Omnislash delivers 18 attacks in the blink of an eye. You're doing him dirty saying he has slow movements. Also, Ardyn being nigh immortal isn't impressive on it's own, it were the other things that made him a formidable foe. Even so, as the guy above said, it isn't like Noctis defeated him with a hand on his back, both died on that fight. Meanwhile Sephirot was summoning a meteor to wipe out humanity. But yes, without Aerith everyone would have been crushed. Thats it, both have ups and downs.
Just a healthy debate guys no need to push you own opinions to others, respect each others opinions 🤣🤣🤣 For me Warrior of Light will clap this two the OG is still the best 😅✌
@@chiewolf1935 nah bruh, FFXIV's warrior of light would clap both of their cheeks no contest. Incite the powers of Azem, summon like 7 other variations of themself, and then they could just... overwhelm them lmfao
Look, I like Cloud but I don't see him winning against the guy who casually phases through entire magazines of gunfire, has intangible weapons on command and can send you to the shadow realm with his ring.
The Ring of Lucii takes too long too charge up which gives Cloud more then enough time to kill Noctis. Also intangiblity won't save Noctis since Cloud can hit and kill ghosts.
I could careless for the debate of who would win.. my real question is to whoever modded this.. why not remove Clouds sword from his back and mod the great swords that Noctis uses into Clouds buster sword? It’s obvious this Cloud is using Noctis’s mechanics in this mod. That way he would have a plethora of attacks and it would look more official. Cool vid regardless but I’d love to see it.
I feel as though Noctis would win this just because he can use more types of weapons so he'd have a variety of options while Cloud would only have a great sword
@@RandoPassingBy lets not pretend that Noctis hasn't beaten a god as well. He beat the Leviathan by himself and with his freinds he took on other gods.
