Ok, this video got more popular than I anticipated and everyone's got questions, so here's a little FAQ: *How are you breaking the 9999 damage limit?* The Royal Pack/Edition added a new accessory called Rare Metal, which gives a crapton of STR and allows you to break the damage limit (but also comes with extreme penalties to VIT and HP) *How are you oneshotting Omega?* I'm not, it's a shitty edit for comedy's sake. Apparently it was more convincing than I thought it would be. There's a cut just as I land the hit, it's easy to see by looking at the minimap. It's the only clip in the video that is faked. *Wt ring you got bithc?* Rare Metal, Dark Matter Bracelet. Damage, Limit Break, no HP. Everything you ever want.
There are several ways. It's a reward for completing all the hunts (Hunter Rank 10), you get one from beating Aranea's level 120 camp fight and another from the last boss in Costlemark Menace Dungeon. You can also get them by getting 80-89 chests in the 10k Gil Justice Monsters V minigame in Altissia.
I mean, it makes sense, he gave everything to physical damage. This means he has to be good at hitting as much as he can while taking care of not getting hit. It is kind of a weird mid-point between dark souls and whale genshin impact or fully upgraded god of war/the force unleashed

Chill Kid Sadly, Rare Metal is a Noct-only accessory. Otherwise I wouldn't even have needed to fake the Omega clip. Gladio with Apocalypse and Rare Metal could probably kill every enemy in the game with one Dual Master.

I have no idea how you missed it since nowadays, it's my most known video :D I didn't stop making videos because of the lack of interest, but rather, time. I've been working on some videos recently, and I would love to say that they're coming out soon, but last time I made such a promise, I was forced to go on hiatus for months... I'd love to make more, but I have to put real life first. The Gladio video is among these unfinished projects, though I'm not sure what the point of finishing it is anymore, other than to have the series wrapped up I guess. Character swapping is already so old that I doubt there's much of anything in it that someone else hasn't covered already. RekiWylls, MemoriesLP and Kumiko made their guides months ago and they're high quality stuff. Idk, maybe I'll get it done at some point, but I cannot promise anything. Sorry for the bad news :/

Nickolas Moonlight Can someone explain what a damage cap is? What does that even mean? And what are limit breakers? I coulda unlocked a limit breaker for 999 in ascension but I didn't know what tf a limit breaker what, let alone removing a dmg cap
Yeah. Gladio normally can do between 20k and 30k damage with limit break and Ignis more or less is the same. For crowd control Gladio is your man and for single targets Ignis is the best. If you combine Ignis perks with Noctis using the rare metal, pretty much you are doing 99999 damage in every hit...at the cost of being a glass cannon.

So i was doing alittle research about sarahs shortsword and only to find it is stronger than the bulmong but only because it follows with your hp like the altima weapon but its damage isnt very high do to your health restraint on only being 9999 in fact seen on ffx most of the characters but auron if u have their hp maxed out they do more damage woth a higher max hp than if it was lower the reason for it is unknown as i dont know the math but if u watch the health on ffx once it reaches 45-0% the attack degrades but on ffxv the attack doesnt degrade to much due to the limitation in health that was to keep us from being to strong for the enemies to kill
Actually, Sarah's Shortsword simply deals 50% more damage when you have full HP, it doesn't scale with the amount of HP you have like those weapons in FFX. And yeah, it is indeed stronger than Balmung if you can maintain full HP.

Doing New Game+ or using Chapter Select resets all sidequests, hunts and pickable items, allowing you to get duplicates of "one time only" items. So, in other words, they all have Adamantite Bangles.

bro u did not just 1hit omega.... he got 99% resist against weapons and around 550k health that means you absolute madlad made him take a hit that dealt 55 MILLION damage to normal foes.

Yea, it's a new DLC/update called "Royal Pack". Added a lot of new stuff like expanded Insomnia in chapter 14 and a boat which you can control. There's a new superboss in Insomnia that drops Rare Metal and the boat gives you access to new fishing spots where you can get new fish to unlock the the sushi recipe.
So Rare Metal allows Noctis to do limit break with his normal attacks....Well. I have came up with a new....way to spend the next couple days getting ready to kill omega for that.
I'm having a bit of a trouble putting noct's HP to 1. I used venomcast and aimed it near me (with enemies around of course because you can't cast w/o enemies) but noct dodges it and ends up unscathed. any tips?
You can't aim it right at your feet or that will happen. You gotta aim the spell a bit more forward to get the normal casting animation, and then run forward to get hit by it. This is also why only venomcast blizzard spells work. Fire and thunder are too fast, but blizzard hits with a delay, giving you enough time to run into its hitbox
