FG EVO 2020 Bleeding the hydraulic brake system!

We are finally covering one of the points that is a total party piece and sets of the EVO2020 from most other 1/5 cars. The Hydraulic brake systems will impress anyone and bleeding them can be intimidating. FG includes two syringes and a ton of fluid for you to perform this process probably six or more times. Some things to take note of:
Use a sharp knife that will cut cleanly through the brake line without deforming its shape or leaving any flashing
Keep a rag on hand to wipe away any fluid that spills
DO NOT over tighten any of the fittings or the bleed valves. If over tightened you will break it off inside of the caliper and a replacement is not cheap!
Make sure that there is no air in the brake lines before operation. Air will lead to poor performing brakes!

Great video Steve. I absolutely love this car. Having a blast with it. I also use the mecatech valve covers to keep dirt out as well.

I use yellow teflon tape around the bleeder valves threads to prevent leaking when servicing the brakes

that is a good tip! I have thought about doing something similar. They have an anaerobic bit of thread locking compound on the valve thread. I finished the build a few months ago and the brakes have not leaked or had any issues since the build

I both agree and disagree. I think there are a few really trick pieces of these 2WD models that would not easily be adapted to a 4WD. The car is super fast out of the box with being a lightweight 2WD model too. The car is still being run in and loosening up but I have hit 48.7MPH with a GPS strapped to the car!

You do a great job on these videos that thing looks awesome it wouldn’t be practical for me no good places to run it I’d lose it in a pot hole or something where I live lol 😂

That’s just a beauty WOW 😮! That’s just got to be the most amazing and most High End RC that’s out there !!! So next level that most people are afraid 😱 to get there hands on one of those sexy FGs . That’s just a sexy and Braaaaaptastic💥🏎⛽️🔥💨Girl just super Zeeeeeaah 💥! If I had one of those ? I would use gloves 🧤 like a gentleman to work on theme and only my best tools 🛠 to perform the work on them! Are there any CHEVY Bodies for one of those like a Camaro like a 3rd generation or any Camaro or Corvette ? Or Cadillac CTS-V body??

Maybe! These use such a small amount of fluid and it was easy enough to get done with the syringes that I don't think I would bother with anything different. This was my first take at ever attempting this and I was able to get it done pretty quickly. The rear brakes went even faster than the fronts.
