FG EVO 2020 Diff build and driveline install!

For my first video in the build series of the FG EVO2020 I got over what it takes to assemble the self locking differential and the ball drive axles of the EVO. There were a few hiccups including some binding on the rear stub axle as well as my bulkhead caps being flipped during the factory assembly. All things said it went together smoothly. The machine work of all the alloy pieces are perfect and the finish is nice. There has been no hand fitting required.
You will want to make sure you have ample supply of blue thread lock! Every single screw of the car will need to be removed for thread lock to be installed.

I have put together several high speed 1/7 GT’s basically starting with ARRMA roller/sliders. With a lot of help from RU-vidrs, Ebay sellers, a CASTLE Product Specialist (with the patience of a saint) I have come a long, long way, but I confess the thought of disassembling a diff of any RC car terrifies me. I have a new FG SPORTSLINE PORSCHE 962C HT 1/5 scale. I dared to buy an aluminum differential cover conversion “kit”. I watched your video. I saved it & will watch it again…and again, but really do not think I can do it. Along the way I have felt that way about a lot of what I managed, but it looks like brain surgery to me right now. Your work was great & the video was very precise. If/when I get the courage I will have my iPad open on my workbench moving through your video very slowly & carefully.

This is the best channel I ever seen for 1/5 crazy car, FG in the specific. I am wondering if you may prepare a step by step videos on how to build the FG 2020.2 from kit rather than from a prep assembling car from the factory. What do you think? Thanks

FG was once a German brand but they are now owned by T2M, a company based in France. They are now listed as "Made in Europe". Some parts are made in Germany still, other parts are sourced elsewhere
