I literally downloaded this game two weeks ago, he was my first drop besides a starter Hercules. Decided to show my friend, asking if he was good or not, got enough salt from him to start my own business.

To those who don't have waver, me included, just wait until a waver is in your support list.........boom free waver, until he purges his friend list

Point of interest. Have him in "My Room." His comments will indicate he is THE Waver from Fate Zero, not someone from different time line ("I have no interest in serving under anyone but Conquering Knuckle Head.") And when you have Iscandar in your command, his comment will change ("To think I get to fight along side with him..")

Waver is so broken, I thought he didn't even need a servant spotlight.

if u ever thought ur favorite servant in the game is too weak, don't worry!, 2 waver will make any servant viable in the game. so roll for him and get a friend who have 1 as well XD

He was my first 5 star and not gonna lie I was kinda bummed since I was expecting a waifu 5 star. Two years have passed and I'm glad that I have him on my team.

There is one bad thing about Waver despite how good he is. Several teams I have used were completely dependent on him, so when he died, the whole team died. Even with units like Merlin, a lot of late game bosses and challenge bosses managed to kill of my Waver teams

I didn't realize how good he was when I actually pulled him and Jeanne. I was like okay and when I did more research I was like, "I'm an idiot"

Came back to see this and good lord how times have changed. He's still amazing but the definition of broken really has come a long way now.

How I rolled Waver Come on Melt there's only two days left just come home! *see the gold* Yes!!!! *its a caster* FUUUUUUU- Its Waver ...I don't know what to feel right now. That aside I am happy to have one of the best Servants, if only I got him under better circumstances.

I'm a free player, poor as they come, and after much deliberation i decided to roll for waver, i only had 9 tickets and 9 quarts to spare for this gacha, as i'm waiting for okita and sukasaha(probably won't get either). I burn my 9 tickets and instantly lose hope, i know i'm not getting nothing out of this gambling machine so i start using the 9 quartz, first one nothing, second one nothing, third one sparks and i'm like OH SHI WAVER? And i see the muscles, the glasses, the golden hair and i'm like ahhh fuck me with a broom and choke me as a i cum i got another musclehead i can add to my sausagefest of account. It has more muscle than the movie pain & gain. To anyone who managed to pull waver i'm happy for you and i wish you the best but if you could spare a beer for this lost soul i would be forever grateful. Good video as always.

I just pulled him with my 14 day login bonus and he's my second 5 star after okita souji alter.

My first Five Star. Had him at NP 2 for a good long while... now he's sitting at NP 3. Been with me since Thanksgiving of that first year. Waver deserves all the respect and all the breaks. Even if he's never going to get it.

Just got him from the Chaldea Boys banner tonight. 2 years ago I got my first 5*, Tesla on Waver day, now I get Waver on his day. I know what the guy can do, but I still love watching your vids Oni.

I took your advice and rolled on the caster banner and just got him. Honestly I was aiming for Tamamo and was surprised. Came here and didn’t realize how good he was.

So glad I did my research and re-rolled until i got him at release... Even at the beginning of the game hes an excellent unit

Tried to get Waver yesterday (drop rate up)with 60 quartz and i get 4 Cu's and some Boudicas... and after this video i'm more angry than yesterday Totally agree, Waver + Lancelot works really well, waiting for more videos bro!

He was the fist 5 star servant i rolled. I was a bit disappointed since it wasn't Artoria, but after seeing him in actions after his first ascension, i was utterly impressed with how good he was.

Thank goodness I have like 10 people on my friend's list with him, blew 90 quartz and like 10 tickets when he had a rate up and only got Saber Alter.

Thank you very much. It's very good, as always. I got Waver as a 'spook' while rolling for Melt. Indeed it's more of a blessing than a spook. There's a small mistake I'd like to indicate in the video. You accidentally said 'Kaleidoscope' instead of 'Formal Craft'. I am sure you meant the latter one :)

Man Waver has come a long way to achieve his dream. From a mocked student treated like a sissy, to a feared staff of Clock Tower being looked up on by mage students.

I was dump dumb enough not to heed your advice when it came out long story short I spent 2.5 years without a proper 5 star support (no tamamo , no zhuge , no Merlin) with skadi coming out(who I am not a fun of) I decided to roll for him at the journey to the west rerun but he was like "lol nope I will come earlier than that" so 267 quartz and 18 tickets for void shiki and fujino the results: 1 carmila spook 1 stheno spook 1 fujino 0 void shiki but 1 zhuge liang guess my 300 hours of playing total war three kingdoms (mostly as liu bei) paid off but now I have ask liu bei , Zhang fei and guan yu servants when? Also thanks for helping the fgo community for so long and for keep doing it the fgo RU-vid wouldn't be the same without your contribution so many thanks

This is what I meant by ranking Servants in the "versatility" category. From "Master of none" to "jack of all trades" to "Master of all" ...Waver is one of those few (like Merlin) who is in the "Master of All" bit... although I don't see him soloing very much (then again, someone has been doing Mashu Solos)

Started playing around a month ago. Managed to roll both an Altera and a Waver very early on. I love his NP.

Waver is also so good with Lancelot, Discerning Eye lets Lancelot charge his NP (which makes a lot of Crit Stars) and next turn Lancelot can absorb all those stars for 100% crit chance on his cards, along with the crit damage boost his damage is tremendous, almost no boss can survive it during this stage of the game.

got him on skadi's banner. makes not getting skadi much less painful. plus i got tamamo a few banners back so finally i'm getting the full taste of stalling strats :v

I was rolling for Okita today, got Waiver instead. I'm surprised, but really happy with what I got!

I got him on a day 2 reroll. I kept hearing that he was great, so everything I get now is just icing on the cake. I still wish I would've got Gil when he first came around though.

Sitonai didn't come home after 450sq...couldn't finish Lostbelt 2 in time to get Caster Shuten....Saw the new banner , wanted Cu alter or Medb...decided to throw 10 tickets and 30 sq. Got NP2 Danzo and NP1 Waver....Wasn't expecting that, but it's very nice xD. Checking your videos right now to know how use them xD

Pair Waver up with Merlin/CuAlter later on in the game for maximum broken-ness.

Today 05/05 Finally i finished the whole event of case files including the Match alexander and waver Do some yolo rolls and got Another ending Ce and my own Waver, now I'll meet the true power of double waver or waver and merlin along with my Cu alter Im really happy for that ;') thx for your tips

Waver/Zhuge is Excellent. It took me some time to "get it", but combined with Crit-based servants, he's excellent. My only complaint is, and I say this with a whisper, is no evade or invincibility skill. His NP can be excellent in stall teams. Use him with Nobu-serker, her welfare Merlin skill, and any servant who is crit-dependant

Ahhh, the first of the Mainstream: S Servants. Honestly still found Medea saved my ass more often though, what with her anti-buff and spammable single-target NP. She also managed to (almost--with some help from Emiya) take down the Fafnir in the Daily solo (when I forgot to switch my team) Started Grailing her, in fact (she deserves to be Gold after Okeanos), though I'll probs stop at level 90 so the rest of the Grails not going into Emiya's Level 100 can be reserved for others. Maybe Nitocris coz she's super bae PS: Freaking hell, he even has character going for him since not only is he the one modern guy in Ioinoi Hetaroi, he was interesting as a person to begin with in both Zero and UBW PPS: Tamamo has total waifu status tho, and that's one thing he can't have. Being a dude. Unless it's with Iskandar since he's bi.

Got spooked by him rolling for our girl Raikou. I'll take it. Team Comp - Rider Kintoki Serenity Zhuge Rider gets Golden Sumo, Serenity gets Formal Craft/Projection and our boy gets 2030. Serenity generates a ton of Stars for Rider to gobble up, Zhuge gives charge to either her or Rider to get their Crit nuking up or pop off an NP, and Zhuge provides overall coverage. Nuff said.

Man, rolling three multis in the Fate Zero event is so worth it. Waver actually made me access to consistent 3T DSS with Lancelot as I don't have a Kscope. He made my farming in Gilfest more faster and enjoyable imo. Topping all of that, Merlin is the only servant I needed to complete the Big 4 casters, as a F2P.

That Archer Arthuria though! A day will come when I'll have an arts team with her, Waver and Merlin...but that day is not today...not today...

I was spookt when i got waver in the NA which is totally unexpected but I really love this guy! (I got him first in the JP version on the fate/zero accel banner rate-up).

I remember pulling for Gil, getting Waver in my first 10, not realising it was Waver, then said 'oh I got spooked by a 5*' to my friends. They insulted me so hard, especially after I freaked out when I pulled Gil in a free ticket while they were scolding me. Watching this video is giving me deja vu of how I felt after their scolding: like an entitled idiot.

This guy is so great for farming I'm blessed by having an ingame friend who lend me Zhuge liang who is max level on exp and skills My Farming went from 20 Turns to 8 turns

20% NP boost (minimum) 50% NP boost (Maximum) makes servants to "have their NP ready" so easy. 30% for atk and def is essential when doing damage/surviving. 50% Critical Damage can also make a normal attack very strong. But his skill is Extremely expensive/hard to level up. Considering a 7-7-7 Zhuge a good Zhuge, you gonna spends tons of materials and QP on him

I rolled my first 30 sq and got this guy ; happy to know he's good. Tho having Jeanne already I'm still missing any damage on my team...

"Juggely-Ang"? The proper way to say it is "Zhū-Gé Liàng". not that you can be faulted, trying to say it correctly would be hard for any non-chinese speaker. I think the JP version uses the more manageable "Kong-Ming" name instead

Enjoyed this video back when it came out. And certainly thought now was a good time to rewatch it after pulling Waver in the guaranteed gacha. It is going to be nice using him more. Like using my own servants more than just the friend supports in actual fights. No doubt he is a darn good support even now. Was hoping for a strong support and while Tamamo would have been nice (someday...) Waver more than fills that slot. Nice that I don't have to just rely on Nero Bride as one of my better supports. Though I'm still putting her in just about any party it's reasonable to...

Spent 900 SQ on Zero rerun. Nothing. 1 ticket on dual rate up. Waver. I am so happy. This is the happiest day of FGO for me.

Got him through rerolling one of my best account as Jeanne and Tamamo afterwards with Emiya, Martha, Marie and Stheno for starters. Even though my following rolls are frustrating and miserable for months still Thankful to have Waver, Tamamo, Jeanne and Jalter which have all their Bond CE especially Waver as I used him to any team possible.

Watched this video. Went and tried my luck at the rolls. Got a second Lancelot. I mean I like Lancelot. He is at the moment my number one reliable berserker in terms of high damage but he was not the servant I was looking for.

It took me 3 years, but I finally got him during the Chaldea Boys event. Even without the skills maxed yet, he's already a great support.

So spent 40 saints quartz on gacha. Gotten only CE, but I ain't complaining because it some pretty good ones. But Never give up on getting your golden servants guys

What do you think now (8/15/21) of Waver after Merlin, Reines, Castoria, Koyanskaya, Skadi, and finally the almighty Oberon? Does Waver also need a rework? I still consider he an excellent support, but many consider it dated and outdated... "When no one is on your side, Waver is there! When the quick didn't have Skadi, he was there! When the buster didn't have Merlin, he was there! When someone doesn't have the right support for Q, B, A or loop, he's still there today. And he rises to the king of neutrality and support without preconceptions. Thank you Waver! Even if everyone leaves you, this time I'll be on your side."

Finally caved in due to this video, my first ever quartz roll got me Waiver and a Heaven's Feel =)...now to go back to saving for Gilgamesh, I started after his banner and he's my favorite character D=

Was just listening to this in the background. You mention using Kaleidescope with Waver but I think you meant Formalcraft as per the image on the video. Not sure if it is easy to fix, but FYI. Also, since I am posting anyway, I prefer Fragments of 2030 for Waver to complement Discerning Eye and round out his buffs.

I just rolled him today over the Tamamo Lancer banner. Didn't know he was this good.

Was trying for Karna during one of his rate-up banners, saw the telltale rainbow circle, was like, "Yeah, finally!" Then it shows a gold Caster card. *Confused Pikachu face* Turns out to be a Waver spook. *Surprised Pikachu face* Realized I just got spooked by one of two EX-rank Servants in the entire game, just sorta made sure that everything was saved, logged off, and laid down for a bit to get the spinning to stop.

I pulled him in the anniversary class choice pick. I was hoping for Tama or Merlin but was glad i got him due to his NP boosts.

Waver, and by extension Vlad III, have the special honor of being the first and only set of 5* Servants that I’ve summoned through back to back Single Pulls! Those two have been part of my team comps ever since! Edit: The back to back summons thing happened during the first run of the Chaldea Boys gacha, so it’s quite a while back in the NA Server’s timeline.

You got yourself a sub :) As a side question, I was lucky enough to get saber (Artoria) and waver in the same roll (Result right?) How do you get Wavers last ability in NA? The attack buff or is it not out yet. I've noticed you cant farm the items to ascend him in NA and hes capped at 70 for me.

I rolled for him today on the Chaldea Boys event. He was the last one to apear. I got Alexander and said to my friend (Who was watching me roll) "It would make sense if I got waver." and then gold circle, caster servant, El melloi.

Waver is, arguably, the most useful and versatile Servant in the game, as he can fit in nearly any team so long as they don't go up against Berserker/Rider enemies (late game, Casters get melted pretty quickly against those types). If you ever have the opportunity to whale for one Servant, Waver will NEVER be a bad choice to go balls-deep for.

Finally got Waver yesterday. 200+ SQ well spent (Also picked up Altera so bonus!)
