Shouldn’t stop from getting the skin unless primes is also a problem. I’ve bought skin for operators I don’t have yet, since that’s pretty much the only thing I spend primes for.

Nah, mihoyo design is bland and stale. None of their character designs are comparable to Arknights. They can't even change design patterns for different games.
