This video was a lifesaver for me. I bought a screen from him and managed to do the replacement myself. Everything went perfect and i have a display once again in the car for a fraction of the cost of having the cluster replaced :)
The LCD display failed on our 2014 500 in 2019. The franchised dealer wanted £650 to replace, so left it a while. I bought a display from AK Speedo for £70 and did it myself following this video and one form 'Cars for Paul' which detailed how to get the assembly out of the 500 dashboard. Turned out to be a very easy job and showed yet again what I always knew about the Main Dealer.....
Just finished swapping the screen out in my partners 2014 500. Followed the video to the letter and it worked perfectly. I cannot recommend A K speedo's highly enough, they are truly first class.

Interesting video, thanks. Mine has the backlight working, but nothing displayed, almost feels like a snapped ribbon cable. I also have the coolant warning & abs light flashing (& another I can't remember) when indicating right, so I think there's an internal short (maybe caused by a snapped ribbon cable?). The lights work fine at the rear of the car, so there's no external body wiring circuits causing that issue.
Hi! This is probably a long shot but I’ve wracked the internet for answers to no avail so here we goooo! A good sized moth has found its way into my 500’s speedometer and I have no idea how to go about getting it out. I really don’t like moths so it is very distracting while driving and when it crawls out of view I get very paranoid thinking it will pop out and fly into my face. Do you have any theories to how it got in and the most likely way it could crawl out? Either it’ll come out in its own accord or I’ll have a corpse to deal with so any advice will be greatly appreciated!
Good video. I dismantled two trying to swap a good one fir a bad one but they were clearly not compatible. Do you need serial of the speedo or of the screen itself.
Do you repair the other common issue where the ignition lights flicker/flash when the indicators are operated? I think it’s known as the Christmas light effect. Something to do the diodes I believe??

My screen partially flickers into life the odd time. Would it still be the screen at fault or something else? I stripped it down and all the connections are good and clean.
Hi, in my case the display itself seems to be fine (no faulty LCD elements or what so ever) , but the backlight isn‘t working. Any idea what the issue might be? A bad connection or fault in the main PCB?
