Great video, by the time you have replaced a few of them clip's (they break real easy) over time, you will not take out the window regulator but use zip ties thrugh the hole at the bottom of the window that the clip go's into and fasten the window to the broken white plastic runner that the clip broke off of.
I want to thank you so very very much !after many days of trail and error I found your video. It’s the only video available that describes the cable procedure ✌️ Again thanks
Thank you! FIAT dealership wanted $460 to replace the entire thing after one cable broke and they have a 'replace not repair' business mode, refusing to even look at a repair kitl. Less than $20 and 10 minutes of RU-vid (watching parts of this video multiple times), I fixed it myself!
My man, this video has been so useful to me I cried. I didn't have any tools besides a hex key set, a screwdriver, and a credit card and I managed to get the entire door off, pull out the window regulator, repair the snapped strings and broken clip, and put it together correctly. My window is FIXED! Thank you so much for your video.
Great vid helped my husband no end. The twisting of the pulley is the gem in the vid, anyone reading this twisting the pulley aint as easy as it looks, be warned 😂😂😂
I was watching for the window clip piece removal and replacement, but I was very glad for the cable part as well. All the other videos only explained how to replace the whole mechanism, which is way easier than taking apart the actual mechanism, but thank you so much. Now I see why they just replace the whole thing instead of just one piece 😅
Thanks so much it’s a great explanation of how to do the cables because for sure I would never have known to twist that wheel so thanks again you saved my daughter an expensive garage bill
So helpful, I'm not going to lie it took a couple of attempts to get the "Twist" correct and get those cables sitting in the right position but hey we got there 😀 👍
Do you have a solution for the rotating plastic wheel on the end of the regulator? On mine that what it is damaged and need replacing but on kits i didnt see a replacement…
many thanks .. the challenge i'm facing after this is that the window guide clip 'pin' came out. the original clip is still in the door , but the pin holding it with the glass is gone . seemed difficult to remove the old one. any tips on how to fix that?
@@kwamezulushabazz hey, Thanks for the reply. I do agree I need to take the old one out first. But it fits nice and tight and I can’t just pull it out . Trying to find a way to disassemble the door but no luck yet.
@@kwamezulushabazz the regulator clip had been fixed. It’s the guide clip that’s attached to the glass that fell apart and need to be replaced. That’s where I’m stucked now.
