I bought my 17 year old daughter a brand new Fiat Abarth just like this one a few years ago. We told her to only drive it to school and work. She got too comfortable driving it that she ran a red light and crashed it. It was considered a total loss. Physical, she was fine, but the car wasn't. That car was so beautiful! Years later, she has wished she still had that car. Since then, she's been driving a used Kia Rio and has taken care of it like a baby. Lesson learned: don't get a teenager a new, hot car.
Haha they hold a special place in my heart too even though I’ve never had one, I just think they’re so cool! Thanks for sharing the story, I’m sure she’s learned her lesson 😂😎
@Brandon Kennedy sadly there will be no proof. Clutch went on my Abarth shortly after comment (likely on account of being driven like it was stolen for the 8 years I owned it). I wasn't about to pump $4k for a clutch job in a car worth $7000 tops. Especially after I had just dumped $1k into it for routine maintenance. Got into a lightly used Fiata instead.
Why pops and bangs? Sounds broken. I’m upgrading my exhaust and I’ll be 🤬 if it sounds this bad! My preference is a deeper rumble without clanking pops ands bangs… 🤔 like a smooth beat at idle then the bass drops on acceleration. Like a subwoofer. 🔊🫨🔊 His sounds like a shaky tin can of bolts… 🔇🔩😖🔩🔇 Did he go for straight pipes? Is that the notorious cherry-bomb muffler? 🧨 Maybe not the cherry but straight pipes would be my guess. Never mind as long as he likes it!
@@brandonkennedy sadly no…😞 mine is just a pop. However, I still love it. Great fun to drive. Easy to work on even with all the complex engine work. I mean, needing to remove the whole face of the car just to get at the manifold, 😩.
@@MarioRossi-no7hsI went to an abarth meetup, all the owners of these cars have italian wives and girlfriends that are all so beautiful. Opposite of gay lmao
