I have a FLF plant that I received as a gift in May of 1978. It has moved with me many times, been cut back a couple times to fit in my house, and been in various states of health, and still it lives. It is one of my treasures . Thanks for the info.

Laura...a few years ago, I started occasionally wiggling my fiddle leaf fig trees because they were leaning pretty badly...it strengthened them up so nicely, and they’re growing straighter...I believe it mimicked wind/breeze, and the trees decided they needed to be stronger in order to withstand it!

We’ve had the same fiddle leaf fig since the late 1960s that has moved with us from TX>WI>VA>VT>NY>NC. I hope it remains a North Carolinian for the rest of my life! Throughout its +50-year life, it’s done very well through being cut back almost to soil level (for rides in moving vans or in times of stress - as when boy across the street ca. 1970 attacked the leaves with his new pocket knife!) and seems to thrive being pot-bound. We’ve taken numerous cuttings for family members over the years who have wanted their own to nurture. It’s certainly tolerant of the range of conditions and treatment we’ve thrown at it and is very much a member of our family!

🌓 I have three of these amazing plants and they are growing so great, I water all my plants with a cap full of castor and a tablespoon of sea moss to a warm gallon of filtered water and they are growing like crazy. I have cut some leaves of my smaller fiddle and put in the same same water I use to water my plants and the roots are amazing on them. I love plants and I decided to have a plant nursery in Florida, we are in Alabama now but, moving soon to Florida and I can’t wait to share our space, one of my best friends work at a plant nursery in Alabama and have decided to move with us to help me start my plant nursery. Thanks so much for sharing, looking forward to seeing more wonderful videos.🙋🏾‍♀️💞🦋

Forgot two figs in the greenhouse (not heated) in the end of the autumn cause I got sick. I live in Delsbo, in Hälsingland, Sweden in cold climate and we still have a real georgious winter. Now it's 2°-6°C outside during the days and we still got 30-40 cm of snow in the ground and have minusdegrees during the night. Started to clean up a bit in there and Wow!! My two figs are budding up in there in the cold!! We had -25 this winter for weeks and they stayed alive. -wow!! The have been staying in the sand at the floor all this time. I'm so happy! 👏👏👏 Now I've been watering them with snow that can melt with help from the luxurious sun we got during the days and I will be checking them every day. I really needed this guide. My Fig doesn’t look any thing like yours. My leaves are definitely not as deep green. I will try these suggestions. Thanks Laura. Love this channel.

This was so helpful to me ! I have two on my patio in Florida. One is the larger leaf and one is the smaller leaf. They are both about a foot from my patio ceiling and I kept worrying about what I was going to do when they hit the ceiling. I didn't know I could take cuttings ! Problem solved ! Thanks Laura 🌹 Another thought . . . If you want to do an arrangement with foam in a glass vase, the leaves you took off would be great to wrap the foam so it's not seen !
