First heard this song back in 1987 bought a cassette tape if Sea Shanties from a place called Flagstaff Hill a Maritime Museum and recreated 1800s Fishing Village in Warnambool Victoria Australia! Loved it ever since especially love the line "Where The Girls Are All Pretty And The Beer Is All Free And There's Bottles Of Rum Hanging From Every Tree"!🤗😂🎻💚⛵🐟🐠👩🍺🍻🍾🥃🌳

Ich war bei einem Konzert der Dubliners mit guten Freunden,die inzwischen nicht mehr leben. Wenn ich die Musik heute höre,bin ich traurig und froh zugleich.Traurig,weil meine Freunde nicht mehr bei mir sind,froh mich bei dieser Musik an sie zu erinnern.

I like Barney's hand gestures. There's a certain innate elegance about him. I don't know much about his life but he must have been a delicate soul.

Love this song. Reminds me of my Dad,Brothers & uncles that have gone on to be with Father God. I come from a Irish family of farmers & fishermen. Galgorm,Ballymena,County of Antrim, Northern Ireland. At one time my many Great Grandfather owned Galgorm Castle. John Raphel (Raffield)." Fiddlers Green" the perfect song for a ole fishermen that his roots came from Ireland. To go to a place like that. Yea Heaven sounds good to me !
