We three kings of Orient are Bearing gifts we traverse afar. Field and fountain, moor and mountain, Following yonder star. Seriously, this whole video was so much fun and I literally almost spewed tea when you said “field and fountain…sounds like a hymn”. I wish I could have been in on the live but I was doing daughter duty. Random comments: King of Cups in the Field looks like Robert E. Lee. I’ll never be able to unsee that! The skull with flowers death card you were trying to remember I think is probably in the Linestrider Tarot. I loved your current interpretation of the 9 of swords as fear at crossing the threshold toward enlightenment. I seem to remember a quote to the effect of that, something like “for those not ready to cross the threshold gods appear as demons”.

Wow!!! I am looking at these three decks now~~ I saw the Field Tarot and that reminds me of the Fountain Tarot the Star Seeker Tarot. So glad that I found your video here!

What a great comparison video -- and perfect timing for me personally. I have spent the last couple of weeks going back and forth between looking at flip throughs of the Field Tarot and the Star Seeker trying to choose between them. I ended up ordering the Field Tarot ultimately, as more of the cards appealed to me (I too have been leaning toward simpler, more direct, images). My Field Tarot is due to arrive tomorrow! Interesting next to The Fountain -- they pair very well.

I believe I am going to go with the Field Tarot and pair it with the Arcana of Astrology deck and the new Familiar Field oracle that should be on Kickstarter by the same creator of the Field tarot. Thank you for this valuable comparison.
