I had a female Field Spaniel for 12 years. I got her at 4 yrs. she was with me , by my side until she was 16. Yrs. old. I just lost her and I really miss her. I had to sell my home when my husband died and she even adjusted to an apartment. She was my shadow and went everywhere with me. Wonderful with visitors and little ones. Just a real special girl!

Did you get as a puppy? We are wanting to be a dog family again but this is the first time researching breeds, I am really liking this kind of dog! We are a single income family of 6 so im worried about training and health care cost
The Field spaniel breed reviewed here is NOT a field cocer (cocker?). FS are not golden brown. The dog you have is probably a 'field-bred cocker.' In other words a cocker bred for hunting in the field and not for the show ring.
