The last of the season's stratospheric pheasants: we are at Warter Priory in Yorkshire with high-bird specialist Ross Neville to enjoy some spectacular shooting. Also, as the pheasant season draws to a close in the UK, we visit a field trial on Paul Childerley's shoot in Bedfordshire. And we go to the school in Sussex where the headmaster encourages the kids to shoot. There is News and there is Hunting RU-vid. The sentiments expressed in "Headmaster who likes shooting" are absolutely spot on. Since I took up shooting nearly 5 years ago all the young people I have met at my local clay target clubs are, polite, happy, confident, respectful and level headed. These attributes will serve them well as they become assets to Australian Society. Great show again guys!!!

well I must admit i am half to blame for it but well lets get the inner city kids have a taste of the country ways and build there understanding of the countryside and build there self confidence which is proved to be the case

Nice to see there's not a monopoly on high bird shooting, I think Ross Neville comes across well, the guys obviously done well in business and enjoys shooting so fair play to him.

Brilliant episode Charlie. By far the greatest part was the School report. What a legend the Headmaster is. Not too sure of his Hollywood prose but hey ho he delivers a well rounded education for the young ones and thats ace in my book. More and more like him please. Cheers Moose

Putting on a suit and tie to hunt? very British. I'm part of the Commonwealth and I still find it odd from the Sartorial standpoint. Maybe if the blazer was in Mossy Oak, with a Coyote Brown tie.

It looks like the browning is not ejecting the cartridges properly twice you can see the loader taking the fired shell out.

Field trials 🙄 kc reg🙄 the best dogs are the ones who do the job 6 days a week through the shooting season. Look for the people who do the picking up week in week out. There dogs are the proper workers, and they breed from the dogs that are physically sound enough to carry on year in year out without the need to keep going to the vets . A working pedigree is the only one you need.
