1. these sets can get really expensive 2. these builds can get really difficult and the average builder would find these difficult

Instead of Ultimate Collector Series they could make a Collector Series that are smaller, minifig-scale sets that are more detailed and not intended to be played with.

I love the smooth design and the use of tiles on the wings to minimise the exposed studs. If Lego don't make this official, I will sue them for neglect! This thing is the Lego Star Wars equivalent of the Transformers Masterpiece vehicle modes for detail and accuracy.

Why does every EU/legends fan love the tie phantom? It's so ugly! The tie defender is ugly but in a kinda cool/unique way and now being canon has made it even more popular. The phantom on the other hand just looks like one of the other random/ugly ties like the tie bizarro

i had the pre-production sketchbook for A New Hope, the TIE Bomber was Originally a Boarding Craft to show how the Empire transitions from Star Destroyer to the Corvette, but was scrapped become the Bomber in ESB.

True but Lego has to account for cost per piece. If Lego were to do this they'd have to push up the price quite a way. Which to a layman (the general consumer) would just look like Lego is charging crazy amounts for relatively small sets. Which they kinda already are.

Neither. Brickvault sells pdf instructions and XML piece lists. This is much more affordable for us logistics-wise, and allows people to use their existing collections instead of buying entire package.

Just ordered my plans! I was though disappointed to find it'll cost $180-$250 to build according to BL as of today depending if I order new or used parts. That top dish is $18+ dollars alone today.

Yeah, inflation is crazy these days. The top dish however, you can substitute with the one from TIE Striker. It is not a perfect one, but works.
