Hello Aamer great to see you’ve tuned the ST, those are good figures and have transformed the car. I met H-sport at Oulton Park a few weeks ago. They’re a good bunch of lads who really know their stuff. My mate Lewis Higham (GM Tyres & A/care) brought his ST180 engined Courier along. Other tuners there included Devine Autotech, Piranha Racing, Rival M/sport and TRS Performance too. It was a great day with everyone getting on well and helping each other out if needed. You’ll have to try and come along to the next one mate! I really like Eibachs. I’ve had them on other cars and my ST for four years now without any issues. Bilsteins along with Eibachs would be a really good combo. Look forward to your next vid and any future mods mate. 👍🏻
@markb68 thanks very much mate. Yes, it would be great to join you on the next one and meet other guys in the ST180 community. The next mod is going to be a whiteline rear ARB as I am told its a great bang for buck handling mod (video coming soon!) and then onto the Eibachs (thanks for confirming how good they are).
Great video! I had Eibach springs on a few of my Fiesta's and it transformed the way the car handled - I would highly reccommend them :) Can't wait to see the next video :)
Thanks for taking time to leave this comment - much appreciated. It's good to see your thoughts about the Eibach springs. One question: did your car ever bottom out on roads with compression/dips, adverse camber etc.?
@@aamersandoo I had no problems with them at all. You still retain an oem ride but when you’re pushing a corner it feels like it’s on rails & gives you a lot more confidence in the car especially if you have good tyres & other handling upgrades 👍🏻
@@R26HMD Excellent and informative - thanks! I think it will be Eibach Springs and Bilstein Dampers then. This will mean I can spend money on full geo setup/corner weighting etc. and perhaps some superpro arms. LSD will also be put on at some point. I will of course details all this in future videos!
Thanks man. Yes, it was VERY noticeable. The first time the boost came on around 3000 RPM I was taken aback by the difference. It pulled hard and you go back in your seat harder for longer. Also, the rev limit is raised from 6.4k to 7k and so you get more revs in each gear (and a hard RPM limiter). Day to day, I have found it to be smoother than the stock map in all driving conditions. The engine feels supple and flexible rather than being contained on a leash! 1st and 2nd gear don't seem to be so harsh with engine braking either. It is money well spent to be honest and I would recommend it.
Yes, I think it was a great figure. I was just expecting somewhere between 225 - 230bhp, but I think the ITG intake, exhaust and intercooler do make a difference to max out what can be achieved from the map. It's a couple of weeks on and the car still feels great!
