We bought the uk's worst Ford focus ST and we want to find out what bhp its currently running at. does £1900 buy you a 300bhp car or have we been sold a lie. find out in this episode as we put the ST to the test on a dyno.
Such a shame to see these cars when there poorly put together with poor parts do it properly with quality parts and knowledge they are awesome machines. Just need to spend the money and maintain them well. Don’t doubt one until you have driven one put together properly 👍🏻
The actuators leak after a while replace both o2 sensors I’d recommend the boost solenoid aswell see what happens when I bought mine the rear o2 was blanked of ran like a dog lol
Why did Volvo/Ford even bother with a 2.5 T5? Thin cylinder liners resulting in all sorts of problems when you boost it up, They should have used the reliable 2.3/2.4 and just stuck a decent turbo and remap on it and got more power than the stock 2.5! My remapped Volvo 850 2.3 T5 puts out 285bhp and 375NM torque reliably!
My guess without watching the video yet is no more than 200 bhp and likely a lot less - based on the clear lack of boost on the gauge in the previous video.
My st mk2 is 400 bhp and pulls like a train. The engines are strong, as long you get the block mod done. The only thing with theses cars and including the Rs, they rot if not looked after. The st in the video, isn’t as bad as you think. Throw a few quid at it, and it will be a good motor again.
My Tiguan has more bhp than that 😂 Hate seeing cars end up negleted, etc. There will be a lot of smiles per miles when all sorted.Look forward to the transformation and getting rid of that pop and bang map.. Great video 😀
That is cheap 😅 I’d defiantly say we have one of the worst ones but a few people have popped up and said they’ve got theirs cheaper 😆 a lot of car for the money at that mate 🫡
