this might be the first year i don't buy fifa when it drops. i might buy pes first then get fifa when the price goes down depending on the experience i have on pes. i know fifa 19 will start of nice and smooth. then a patch will come out and mash up the game. that's my opinion.

I played the PES demo and changed my mind from pre-ordering FIFA 19 and instead bought PES. Been playing FIFA from 2005 But this year I switched to PES. The gameplay is sexy and much much better than Fifa. Just try the demo and you will fall in Love with PES.

If you play on PC, buying PES is a big mistake, because it doesn't have the capability for modding and changing the gameplay vastly like FIFA. All you can do is install some patches to bring back licensed kits, club names, club logos... pretty much kiddo stuff. But if you use console, well... forget it, console sucks :)

Ikr.. Back then we were the “FIFA is better cos it has more real teams” But after trying the PES 19 demo, i’ve been addicted. I enjoy it a hundred times more than FIFA 19 full game. My brother even told me it was the first time he saw me enjoy a football game, since i used to constantly rant about FIFA’s ridiculous scripting and unrealism.

I’ve not felt this excited about playing PES since PES 3 for the PS2. PES 2019 is phenomenal! I’ve bought FIFA every year consistently since FIFA 09. The demo will have to blow me away to turn my head from PES 2019 this year.

Ashfak Ul Alam so after playing the FIFA demo I was not impressed. The presentation, atmosphere and commentary are brilliant, but the gameplay was average. After playing the demo a few times I went back on PES and noticed the gameplay, player animations, ball physics, basically everything on the pitch is better and more engaging than FIFA. Also as a career mode fan, I have seen FIFA has changed/improved nothing from the last game. I will be sticking with PES this year! In my opinion, it depends what the individual wants from the game... if you want loads of game modes, need all the licenses, overall presentation, then FIFA is the game for you. If you prefer pure gameplay that feels like a real life football sim, then PES is the game for you.

Definitely agree, mate. Got both games and FIFA does have a few things over PES with facial animations and little things like smooth transitions between throw-ins for example and collisions are neat but it feels like a sluggish '18 as if there's a delay and it gets boring. Pro Evo just looks better overall and the gameplay is too sexy for EA.

It's like watching PING-PONG man. Absolutely no realism in the control of the oncoming passes no matter how hard or high the pass is. Players can pass the ball on the first touch in an absolutely unrealistic fashion. The weight of the ball itself is not adjusted well. FIFA is basically a game optimized to make it fun to play online with your friends and do some unrealistic things. It's not a football simulation anymore. EA milks the players every year with FUT and completely left Career Mode to die along with the original players that played this game 5 or 7years ago and those who don't care much about playing online.

Ronald Kovačević lol no. I played PES 19 and the players are incredibly slow with 0 stamina. FIFA “realism” meanwhile you have a tank of a CB who somehow can outpace your winger who’s sprint is 97. And how the opponents suddenly play like they have 100 stamina in the last 10 mins while all my players are tired. Thats FIFA realism right there, it sucks balls. Im sure FIFA fanboys are just gonna tell me to “play better” but how the hell should i play better when there’s no realism. PES wins in gameplay this time. Most realistic football game i’ve played so far. EA only cares about digging money from FUT so no wonder the gameplay has been shit in the last 6 years

Last year it was a case of fifa having the more impressive graphics and pro evolution having the greater gameplay but this year I'm not entirely sure if FIFA has either of those. In fact, I think the main hook this year would be the journey or the champions league, considering pes's my club improving a lot over FIFA's ultimate team, and the licensed kits can be installed on a usb.

Still haven't tried any PES games. Been a fan of fifa since ps1 but the last one I played was Fifa 14 and I got into the varsity and went on so many tournaments so I haven't had any time lol I always get home so late at night because of training. Now that I have time to play video games. Which is actually better? Fifa or Pes? I saw the volta game mode on fifa 20. It looks good.

I love both games, I have started actually playing pes 2003 back in the day. Now I play fifa and Pes too, both are awesome and have their own pros and cons...Like in PES the realistic graphics but they do not have the right teams, emblems etc which you need to rely on SmOkE patches etc and pes has less arenas/stadiums wherein more repetitive of generic looking ones but a different name for each team; Fifa in the other hand have these details I love, flags waved in the crowd which makes the environment more hyped, the camera shaking after a goal, teams are available on set and over 70 stadiums which makes the product awesome. With all this said the only thing needed in these games is the PES 2012- PES 2013 feature when you can upload your own picture on a created player's face which gives you a legit feel that you yourself are in the game and can edit other player's faces with real pictures.

What I meant is the transition of animation set. FIFA game looked awkward with a lot of players with sudden changes of animation set

Much more accurate weight of the ball and overall animations in terms of the passes, shots, and control for PES19. FIFA looks and feels like Ping-Pong as it has felt for more than 3 or 4 editions now because they simply stopped improving the game and focus only on graphics and online FUT in order to milk the players..not surprising tho because its EA.

I totally disagree with you. I've been playing and watching other people play PES and this time I say they've improved a lot of aspects of its gameplay and the graphics. Saying that it looks the same is lying to get attention

The problem PES has is that fast players can't outrun slow defenders. And that AI just runs into the GK in 1-on-1 situations. I also have to add that playing a season in Master League is just too frustrating. Your players die after two games. While AI opponents press non stop the entire game (no matter who you meet) while barely getting tired. Plus they score on almost every shot. While my own players miss from 1-2 meters away. Either missing the goal completely or the keepers makes miracle saves. 10-20 shots in penalty box to score two goals. AI runs up on a counter, Rogic outsprints semedo(with the ball) gets tackled three times in a row, doesnt lose it since his Messi apperantly. Then curls it in on the edge of the penalty box. Their only shot in the game. Oh and Simunovic is faster than both Messi and Mbappe apperantly, didnt know that.

WiffGiff what?? You must be highly confused. I can outrun any CB with Salah in PES. In FIFA bloody Chiellini magically outpaces Salah with full stamina, its ridiculous tbh

@@liamvandeseijp6901 I haven't seen this on Top Player or above. Only late in a game, with a newly subbed player, when opponent is tired and have conceded around 2-3 goals. Otherwise on the high difficulties AI tightly marks every player and sit deep, often with players at edge of the goal area, so not much room to run in the first place. But even when there is, most CBs have no problem catching up to a fast player who has the ball. Most times they don't have any problem following a players off the bl run behind the line either. On professional, or lower, you can outsprint players much easier.

PES has a grainy on the lawn and an atmospheric perspective on the field, the background players get more cloudy, this gives a greater sense of reality, but this is by no means an ultimate motive for choosing a game, FIFA is more fun to play, the gameplay is better, perhaps PES is ahead in realistic lighting but is just that, if your main reason for choosing a football game is the lighting next to reality then go with PES, now if it is to play a fun football game then go with Fifa.

Fifa was fun when it was a new game...fifa 19 is 3yrs old before its even released. Yea if you ask me im a fifa player, been so since 95 when ginola was on the cover 😂 98,99,07,13 are my favourite ones. but why buy it when i already have fifa 19...in fifa 18...and 17. So gona buy pes and actually get that new game feeling iv been PAYING for yet not getting. Fuck your journey and ultimate team. Buying a game and spending the year pumping real money in so you can be called the best is sad as fuck. If you earned it by playing well and unlocking these players then fuck yea man im all in with backing you, its what gaming ia about. But having a game built around play to win modes..fuck off 😂

Is it only me ? I noticed FIFA game's animation for all (or almost all) players have sudden changes of animation set and almost all of them changes their animation set at the same time. If you look at PES game, animation looked so natural ie. all have their own changes of animation at DIFFERENT time. PLUS FIFA players looked all so robotic ie do not looked so natural

Pobre fifa lo único que tenía era césped y PES lo supera... Este año PES es brutal gráficamente y he notado que los jugadores son bien compadrones que era lo que le faltaba, realmente si PES tendría la dirección que dirige a fifa en marcadores de ligas, transiciones y licencias sería el mejor.
