Well FIFA, you've finally done it. You've screwed up the game beyond repair. The defensive mechanic is SO BAD that even long time supporters are leaving. Not sure how this was supposed to improve the game...but it has actually broken it
@@meddem1744 what difficulty are you playing? I play Professional and i find it really hard to defend. I used to play legendary in previous versions but with fifa21 it's almost impossible.
I've found out that instant hard tackles can actually help intercept passes or through balls if the tackle is timed right. I think this could be really valuable for intercepting passes that are a bit farther away
yeah actually when u hold jocky + R1 + ( sometimes + speed R2 ) while defending the player will intercept more passes and be more aggresive in contact and no one talk about it , don't worry about the second defender just keep switching player with R3 and keep R1 activated u'll see magic interceptions
@@islambahar8898 you mean R1 to call second player? I have seen ppl cutting all my passes but when it comes to my players passes can be coming inches from the feet they never intercept I never know why.
man how can i position 4 or 5 defenders in the same time of the AI don't cover their position there is no way to stop the attacker AI defenders are stupid and i can't control every one in the same time and with a bad jocky defending it is impossble
yeah, its a total mess!! Im a former tournament winner and have played for years and even I cant seem to play good defense with this new AI, its absolute garbage, really wish I could get my money back because I regret buying FIFA this year.
A lot of people that I play against are using their CBs to physically stop my running attackers by getting in front of them blocking them off from the open field. How are they doing this...because they are running though my defenders like water though a holy cup..what button combination are they using to do this?
Damn the goalkeeper don't safe anything. I just went back playing FIFA 20 and those goal keepers can be pretty awesome and actually safe a lot of shots. In FIFA 21 u can't count on your goalkeeper they suck.
Guys I’m sorry, I normally enjoy your videos, but this was not very clear and concise, The explanation wasn’t up to the usual standards, Tez and Kruz avi (and Valerio last Fifa) just seem to have a much better way of constructing the tutorials

They need to combine legacy defending and tactical defending in another defending setting; which is the ability to press using a press button instead of containing, but no tackling should be applied automatically and you just time your own tackles, this way it can help the user press opponents and time his own tackles with directional assistance to the ball, this way it makes the defending less complex by not letting the user to go to the ball manually which is hard for any new FIFA player, this also makes the defending game a game about positioning and the player can contain the player manually by the analog stick and the jockey button.

I pretty much give up even on tutorials. Every f*cker rushes through these things as if they don't realise that to people as crap at the game as I am, a lot of this is like a foreign language.
Thanks for the tutorial 1 question though everytime I switch to a better positioned player to defend the one I was controlling before just stop where I switch instead of coming helping. Happens a lot with my CDM when I need them to come back on defense whenever I switch to CB they just stop lot of time out of their position. They just stay there doing nothing. Is it normal or am I doing something wrong ? I use stay back while attacking but im always only defending with my 2 CBs no help
No really that informative mate. You are only stating the oblious. One Real tip a can give to people is to have you defensive line at 4 bars or lower any setting above will result in you being counter-attack constanly. An other tip who be to you set the width of the defense base on your defensive style. If you want to press apply the width to 6 bar are above. If you want to cover the passing lane and sit back apply the width 5 bar or below.
I got placed in division 2 because I won every game in rivals placements, and since then I have lost every game except 2. I am usually a division 4 player, so this has been very frustrating. I'm sure this defending tutorial will help a lot, and maybe I can stay a bit above average in the rankings. Thank you!
Am I the only person that thinks EPL players so freaking overrated in fifa21 FUT?? For example, Richardlison is freaking unstoppable like he’s Christiano Ronaldo. Tomori and Baily as CB is like brick Manson. No one can go pass them. I know this for fact before sometimes I don’t even press anything and they still win the ball. Kovacic and Neves in midfielding is freaking insane. I saw a situation were kovacic out muscled Delaney. That’sfreaking impossible in real life. I feel EPL players are overpowered and that isn’t fair. Not everybody like EPL players in FUT. I feel like this year physique don’t mean shit cus small players out muscle bigger players with more physical strength. Pls EA update it, that’s non sense.
