Good question! @Quake Bandit You'll be happy to learn that the PC version of FIFA 22 feels almost exactly the same as FIFA on PS4. I used to play exclusively on PS4 like you actually, but switching over to PC this year honestly felt like a very, very easy transition. Love the way you completely skipped over Ultimate Team, giving it the attention it deserves... One of the things that annoy me in FIFA 21 is that you can't see where the hell you are aiming deep free kicks. Have they sorted that this time round with a button you can press to change the camera? How do you rate it against the gameplay of Fifer's realism mod? Either way, this is definitely on the "maybe pick it up on a heavy discount" list. £50 at release? You can whistle for it, EA.

I think they thought because they are using a free to play model that gives them an excuse to release a shoddy half baked game because it’s free but no one asked them to release a free game. It’s not that us gamers are not prepared to pay for games we just want to know which one simulates football the best lol.

That is very true - well said! 👏 We are all looking for a quality football sim at the end of the day, and it looks like eFootball 2022 isn't it. Apparently it's the worst rated game on Steam of all time now, so I think that sums it up well 😅

Forget about efootball which is f'ed. Fifa 22 does not beat pes 21. Pes 21 is on another level. Fifa 22 graphics look washed out. Even fifa 16 and 17 have better graphics.

yes,the icons and the new introduced heroes are on ultimate team,actually nothing is different from ps5 on ultimate team except some things in the actual gameplay,some animations before the match in career mode...but if u see it from the outside,there isn't really any change from 21 to 22 except some transfers and the reset of ultimate team

Yes. The only features you dont get on pc are the next gen features. That does not include game modes and base gameplay. You just wont get the revamped “aerial duels” and “new animations.” But doesnt matter cuz mods on PC can basically fix that for you

I don't play Ultimate Team, so I wouldn't know. But if you've played FIFA 21, I actually think you can give FIFA 22 a skip. Because I don't think there's enough meaningful change to warrant a purchase. The new engine for FIFA 22 is only for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S as well, and apparently it's not that great either 😅 So yeah, bit of a hard sell! PS5 got the new Next gen Update we on PC don’t have it so the game looks like FIFA 21. They Said it is Because low-PC players can still play

@@TheBetaNetwork I put the sliders for GK ability at 95 for both teams and reduced the amount of goals by about 2 per game. Also (for the CPU at least) you can put the shot error higher so that they stop scoring that much.

@@TheBetaNetwork Personally I don't think you need to put the GK ability to 95... it's overkill and nobody likes a superman GK that saves insane shots that no real GK would ever save in real life... it's bad enough that GK on video games save top corner penalties like it's nothing (a feat that has never been done in 100 years of football history ffs)... just find a level of GK ability on the slider that makes the game look realistic... but the slider to make the AI miss more shots is a must... the annoying part is the ridiculous amount of 30+ yard shots the AI scores... if you play against top teams (ESPECIALLY AGAINST HARRY BLOODY KANE) the AI pretty much thinks that 30+ yard shots are the same as tip ins and scores about 70-80% of them if it has enough room to shoot which is absolutely infuriating and one of the reasons FIFA is being laughed at as a football simulator... and I'm not salty about getting scored on, I can beat the AI at any level pretty easily... I just don't like to see 3-4 ridiculous goals being scored in a single game... in FIFA a single game has more insane goals than 3 weeks worth of real life EPL highlights...

Nah, the good thing with PC is that you don't need to pay a subscription service like PS Plus or Xbox Network for consoles @Eprrumm As long as you've got a working Origin account, you should be good to play Ultimate Team and the other game modes online. If you haven't played FIFA before, then definitely pick up FIFA 22. It's arguably got the best gameplay in the series thus far (besides Volta Football 😁) @Tobi_AN For PC, you have to at least be connected to the internet for Origin to verify your copy, every time you start the game. I haven't tried purposefully disconnecting during a play session, so I'm not entirely sure if that works. But yes, you can play online and the online game modes on offer are actually pretty fun! I think you'll be able to play the World Cup mode when a DLC patch comes out around the tournament (that's normally how they do it.) You are able to play Champions League though, and you can choose your team from Group A-H of the qualified teams.

Only reason I asked was that there hasn't been too much of a change since FIFA 21, but if you haven't played since 17 I'd highly recommend picking up FIFA 22! There's been a lot of great gameplay changes, and the feel of the game is probably the best it's ever been. Hey Nathaniel, thanks for checking out our review! :) Manager career is very similar to FIFA 21 aside from the added ability to create your own club that you can manage. Player career has seen a significant upgrade in this new entry including a new leveling system (xp levelling instead of the precious achievement system) plus the ability to be able to start as a substitute and as you perform well you become a starter for your team. There are also manager objectives in matches (similar to the original Alex Hunter story style objectives). Which career mode do you prefer? :)

@@TheBetaNetwork I play both but prefer player career. I love the added features for FIFA 22 player career, I'm so happy they FINALLY added the substitute system. I'm still going to hold off on buying the game until they start adding next gen features to PC - or if it goes on a mega sell since I just don't think it's worth paying the same price as the next-gen editions when the PC version is missing features. I hope and pray everyday that EA will add player contract negotiations into the next FIFA, but judging by how long it took them to add substitutions I would say it's going to take another 5 years until we see any next major changes (and sadly yes by FIFA standards, something as simple as taking a feature from manager mode and moving it to player career would count as a major change lol) I play player career while only controlling my pro on legendary-ultimate difficulty and honestly the tougher A.I sounds great. It's so annoying playing on legendary-ultimate difficulty and seeing the AI teammates just hang back and ball watch while the other team just jogs straight and scores a goal. In all my previous FIFA's I get to about 93-4 overall by my 5-6th season so how would you say the leveling up system is like in this new FIFA? This was a great well put together video, straight to the point and high quality. Going to leave a sub since I'm looking forward to what other games 2022 has to offer

Presuming if the much more realistic hair physics, ball deformation and certain cutscenes were implemented in Fifa 22 on PC, but other than that it should be similar enough. Granted said advanced hair simulation is only available on select players anyways while the majority especially the icon players will still look like their last gen counter parts lol

Check out my review again from 0:30-2:30. Overall, I'd say it feels slightly different from last year. The "feel" of gameplay is hard to describe in words, but I'd say as it's edging towards realism. Since you basically have to utilise more of the mechanics like explosive sprint, agile dribbling and manual player runs against the AI on higher difficulties, in order to get the edge over your opponents. Hopefully that gives you a sense of the gameplay? @Kamran Ali

@Avarami The career modes would definitely be the selling point this time round for FIFA 22. Having the XP based levelling system player career and various objectives in game (similar to the Alex Hunter story in FIFA 17) really create a much more enriching and rewarding experience in player career. Plus in manager mode you can create your own club to take to victory. It's really cool honestly! You can make your own club from scratch, but in my opinion it's always more fun to work with a pre-existing team - Anthony

I normally just crank it to max settings, because I don't think FIFA hogs as much resources as other modern games on PC. It is annoying how you can only adjust the graphics from the launcher, although it's good to hear that you're enjoying it! Sam and I (from the channel) are very keen on reviewing that new football game called UFL, as well as the next FIFA when it comes out. So I was going to ask, are you subscribed to our channel? Because you won't want to miss those 😁

@@TheBetaNetwork Well they don't really understand "Soccer", I know MLS has a degree of fandom but Football is a long way from being accepted as a mainline sport. I'm guessing, maybe incorrectly, that the razzamatazz of "Street Soccer" is a concession to appeal to that market. Again, I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure a good portion of Football/FIFA fans couldn't care less about it. TBH I've never played FIFA Street, the whole concept irritates me, in stands in stark contrast to what Football actually is.

That's fair, I can see where you're coming from. I just like to think of street-style as something separate from football itself, like something you'd play at an arcade. Hopefully they can bring out something along FIFA Street 2's lines for next time 🔥

Now you wait a minute there sir! I'm a Yank! New Englander to be exact! No one, anywhere in the states play football on the streets. So EA is not pandering to us. As far as MLS goes, don't insult those of us who enjoy the true spirit of the game. We definitely know that it's not in the MLS. 😁

@Bert T I really enjoy the MLS, being a D.C. United fan myself, and I would definitely say there is a lot of skill in the league. I'm just glad that they no longer do that hockey style penalty shootout anymore. 😅 Which MLS team do you follow? Do you watch any other leagues as well? :) As far as I'm aware, street football is actually mostly popular in the UK and a lot of South America. So, yeah unsure of the tie in either 😅😅 - Sam

You don't need a paid subscription for EA Play or Steam to play online. I believe you just need an EA account for Origin, and that's pretty much it. Any other questions? - Anthony
