I mean its kinda weird to praise Efootball. Ive seen you critise them but you have also said A LOT of positive things. Efootball is a mobile quality game that has not yet surpassed the level of quality that fifa 15 has. FIFA 22/23 is a different beast to Efootball even if gameplay is horrible for Fifas standards. I do agree that FIFA 22 and also FIFA 23 has A LOT of flaws but a single praise to Efootball should be 100 extra praises to Fifa. Its pure bias mate. I love both PES and FIFA. But you cant be out here playing the crap out of every Efootball patch and calling out EA for making a bad game

The last Fifa I had fun with was Fifa 17, it was of course far from realistic, but I kinda still felt that I have control and goals felt somewhat rewarding. In the newer entries I really feel like half the goals I concede, there‘s nothing I could have done. The team doesn‘t cover anymore. Midfielders, even defensive midfielders, jog backwards slowly leaving the defensive line completely vulnerable on it‘s own. It feels like it‘s made for people who need dopamin output (in form of a goal or big chance) every 20 seconds or else they‘re bored.

Just played 4 games on Proclubs, the total amount of goals scored? 32 goals... I mean if that's not totally ridiculous idk what is.

Just my thoughts. Fifa 17 was the last good Fifa where Ultimate Team was fun. 9/10 Fifa 18 was the last Fifa where at least Draft was fun. 6/10 Fifa 19 was the last FIFA where normal online Mode (not Ultimate Team) was at least quite playable. 5/10 Fifa 20 was a desaster. 2/10 Fifa 21 was a desaster. 2/10 Fifa 22 was also a desaster. 3/10 Fifa 23 on PS5 is the biggest desaster. 1/10

Everyone boycotted this garbage, EA screw you. Fifa 23 it’s the same as fifa 22 with more scripting DDA. Enhanced hyper motion means AI will be all over you pimping you around on higher difficulty. Bugs broken mechanics more broken animations added. Boycott don’t buy that’s what we need to do teach EA a lesson then you will see them put effort and they will listen to the community.

I'll say what I said when Hypermotion 1.0 was presented: they're not using ML for anything other than new canned animations. They're not making changes to the animation selection and deployment engines. It improves some aspects but slightly, the same core is there. Players move too fast out of nowhere (and they choose to make it worse with AcceleRATE), change of direction is too easy, even if they can trace every little step, it's still a skate without visually skating because they're either taking 50m steps or 50 1m steps in a second. I mean, it's nice that tackles look nice, defenders pull their arms back as is the norm nowadays, but it becomes useless if Thiago can cover a quarter of the whole pitch in 1.5 seconds

The defensive AI is the biggest problem in FIFA 23. Defender just watching the opposition player get past so easily. That clip from vinicius running on goal is the most obvious example.

The biggest issues I always had with FIFA were: twitchy movements, making players slide instead of running/walking; default movement waaaaay too fast; and the very poor AI positioning the team in the field. It seems FIFA 23 is trying to fix the first problem. The second is somewhat fixable with the sliders. But the third, it's unbearable! And it seems the issue persists.

I really like fifa between 2014 -2018 but felt like with the recent ones I have less control over the game. When the AI decides to score it pings the ball around n smashes it in the top corner then when the game decides I can score the AI gk has reactions of a sloth. There's no chance to learn or feel rewarded for playing

I'm playing 23 and i can say i liked 22 a lot more. Graphics mainly colors in 22 looked better more natural while in 23 the contrast is too much it's bad for eyes. The gameplay i have no problems in winning with computer in 22 on professional level but on 23 i loose more than i win. The whole building attack in 22 felt better it was joy to play while in 23 i don't feel that anymore i don't know why more animations maybe ? 23 feel more like older FiFA's before hypermotion engine. I think 23 is worse than 22.

Facts. I’m a 7/10 on fifa 22 but when I play 23, I don’t know what it is but the game just doesn’t let me play good. Their touch is heavy too. It’s also really hard to control your team, like you have no chemistry at all. And overall defense is hard to control. FIFA 23 downgraded. Imo

I wouldn't expect any real changes between FIFA 22 and FIFA 23, apart from maybe a pallet swap on the pitch and maybe the crowds. The pitch colour on FIFA 23 looks very unnatural on your comparison vid and possibly less detailed, hard to tell because of the default RU-vid compression on video quality. Honestly, EA are just looking to milk gamers, so all I think you can expect now is a change to the default sliders embedded into the coding to make it appear as though there's been changes to the game, but it will in effect be the same game as the previous year. Sliders will be neutral, but internal sliders would have been baked in as changed. In fairness, EA are not the only ones guilty of this practice and is precisely why I don't buy new sports sims until there's a new engine change, which is usually about every four years, or a new console generation (whichever is the later). We've literally just had an engine change, so get used to it for the foreseeable future. Even with these new acceleration features (which sound good down on paper), they're just going to be offset by either the CPU periodically having brain freezes and not moving at all (when it's P1 team mates), or the CPU becoming Superman and basically running at 2x the speed of your player even though their stamina is on red (as you pointed out right at the beginning), rendering the entire feature pretty pointless/useless. Same old shit, I ain't touching this game.

@@MK-cb8wmI wouldn't recommend any FIFA game right now, the more recent ones are trash. The new one in development, EA FC 24, looks top notch though, if you can wait I would just get that one. FIFA 17 was the last really good FIFA game in my opinion, but the roster will probably be too outdated to go back to now for most, unless you don't mind playing just for the nostalgia only.

Passing is awful in fifa 23, the game will often choose who you pass too even though you are aiming at a totally different player. This game is the final game and I expected them to go out with a bang, sadly its the worst game play yet.

Personally i feel like that save by the goalkeeper should be fine if its very unlikely and only when theres a very high rated keeper. Cause sometimes keepers have ridiculous moments like courtois

The more i see late fifa gameplay and the more I'm impressed on how it looks. Stadium, player movements and lots of visual aspects. It's amazing to watch, and at the same time to see it that's so funny and full of jokes. A frustrating game that's not enjoyable.. I do believe its a really poor time for videogame. On one side efootball that maybe has good ideas but not resources and on the other side fifa who has resources but they throw them away on useless stuff.. Who said that competition improved football videogames? Are you still sure? Because it looks to me that put company under stressful situations and that's all folks..

The issue with eFootball is Konami and their ridiculous decision of scrapping the whole foundation they had laid with the Fox Engine during PES 2015-2021. They had literally made so many good gameplay choices that they continously scrapped in order to please the loud minority that played their stupid Version of ultimate team. Then they went all out cash Grab with eFootball 2022 which is what killed the franchise

One thing I will say spoony, is I think the pitches are smaller on 23. The distance between the centre circle and the edge of the d looks significantly smaller. Giving the impression 23 is the same speed or faster take a look see what you think

Looks like a football game made from people that don't mind football at all. Some of this clips are horrific. Those keepers and those statue players parking the bus. I really hope to think that this is not actual gameplay, but what I'm trying to do here, is EA, this might be their "innovation".

Great analysis Spoony, you're spot on. The only good gameplay feature is the different acceleration speeds, the A.I. is trash in Fifa. Another year of park the bus, OP keepers online. I'll pass, they'll defo patch the game after a week or so, make the gameplay even worse.

I already played the game today on release and iv been playing every year since fifa 14 , and i can confidently say this is the slowest player movement i have ever seen , players move like tanks and defenders are so slow when turning around that its kinda frustrating and unrealistic if feels like all your defenders are running around in mud or slowmo , even Mbappe feels sluggish skills barely do anything unless the timing is executed perfectly

Holy hell, agreed with all of your statement. Putting this game side by side with pes 2021 make pes a whole another dimension of goodness. What a shame konami didn't just improved on pes 21. Imagine how fantastic it would be, gameplay wise and simulation wise if they just stick to improve what they have worked on in past 5 years. For me, I don’t know whether it’s the quality of the player but I started a career with Birmingham city (supported team) and the acceleration with the ball is slow, defending is terrible as AI don’t track runs and some tackles I’ve done where I’ve got the ball cleanly have resulted in a penalty, for me, not good enough with the amount of money that is pumped into the game.

@SHUG SCOTLAND 🇬🇧 they're probably just using a bunch of motion capture data to generate a bunch of different animations and that's it. It doesn't mean those animations are necessarily chosen in a different way, or that the interaction between players in a match determines any animation selection in a different way than before. That has always been my guess.

4:18 wow wow what a second.. look how the defender defend. He runs sideways and he can catch up a player who just runs forwards. How is this realistic? The jockey system is so unrealistic and its disgusting. Thats the difference between fifa and e football. If you beat a defender in fifa it doesn’t feel you beat him because the defender can run sideways and backwards. People try to run sideways and backwards in real life when you defend 1 on 1. You will look like a fool, its impossible to run at the same speed.

I think Fifa 22 has better on Pitch character models, smoother pitch graphics etc. The players models in 23 seem a lot scrawnier and stiffer. For whatever reason I find the pitch grass pixelated (I’m on ps5). I just think Fifa 22 pitch graphics wise looks much better and is less stiff to play. 22 had many other issues though.

If you haven’t played efootball in the last 3 months u don’t know what ur talking about bro, fifa has animations and graphics going for it, but gameplay is another story. In fifa players can turn around and do quick movement that are just unrealistic, where as efootball has a sense of momentum a punishing you and rewarding you more realistically. This is coming from someone who’s played both a lot. Efootball gameplay atm is more rewarding, but also more difficult cuz the players have more slow and realistic touches

The Tech EA uses in modern Fifa games are virtually unmatched in any sports game in any genre. How they choose to implement said Tech is another story. After the efootball debacle. I will heartily enjoy Fifa 23 and keep it pushing.

Generally, I have low expectations from FIFA in general, so I am not surprised. EA has a fan audience and they will do what their fans demand. So, forget about realism, you'll see only what EA fans want- which is copy-paste of all the FIFA editions. EA has no motive to change it. However, like with Konami, they put in front some slight changes, because this is the last edition with full FIFA licencies, next year everything will be different. Personally, I don't play FIFA, but I'll give some tries, as there is no PES in the Net cafe I usually go, which I will restart for a while during my days out of work. I'll give my opinion upon the subjetcs Spoony brings up, but I don't see any changes, except some "ameliorations", as EA transfers to the new era. Have a nice time.

Me too, it's better. Player positioning is still horrendous. Hypermotion 2.0 isn't as good as 1.0 was (until first FIFA 22 patch)

@@SpoonyPizzas Yeah i have a feeling this is a pretty old version. It feels quite a few steps behind Fifa 23 with the latest patch (i only play local multiplayer) which im really enjoying. Although it defo has a few things going for it over 22 currently as well.
