I think Fifa should give awards to the worlds' best player in every position of the game. They also should give the awards to best players in the position of the game from each continent: North America, South America, Asia, Africa, Europe, Oceania etc which would give more prestige to every players who play around the continent and truly would make the event more of a global award ceremony of the game and not just a game which has been dominated by Europe over the years.
The Fifa award ceremony has gotten a lot better and it reminds me of the Academy awards. They can still do a lot of things to make things a lot better in Fifa such as bringing back the Ballon d'or for the Fifa's best and world player of the year for men and women. I really seriously think that they should give awards to players who play for each continent in the sport. I am in favor of the Olympic games having the senior teams instead of Under 23 teams and in favor of a creation of a Under 23 World Cup in its place for the youth teams. Making the Olympics a very important competition equal to the World Cup would not take away prestige from the major event since the World Cup has a lot more teams. I would love to see a Third special extra time with a : Golden Goal, Silver Goal, Bronze Goal for 15 minutes being with the first five worth a golden goal, next five minutes a silver goal worth 2 goals and last 5 minutes a Bronze goal worth 1 goal to avoid Penalty Kicks in the process. I am also in favor of Fifa keeping the Fifa Confederations Cup tournament alive and that they make a world ranking for clubs and not just national teams as the IFFHS has done. If Fifa does this the game will be a lot better and more exciting and will increase the competitive level world wide for both club and national teams in both the men and women's game respectively for soccer-football.
All these people barking that salah nominated for top 3 but didn't make it to best XI and courtois won best gk but de gea made the best XI. They don't know the fact that, salah nominated for the best player along with ronaldo & modric via voting by fans. Where as Fifa best XI, which is voted for by thousands of players around the world and national team captains and coaches, as well as selected journalists

@@Harry-kq6kj mo salah over mbappe is possible , but not over hazard. Cause' hazard was categorised for midfield position, where as salah & mbappe was categorised for attacking positions. You can only replace a midfielder by a midfielder, not by an attacking categorised player and vice versa.

For all the people saying mbappe should be in the XI instead of salah, here is a stat for you : mbappe scored 21 goals for psg and 4 in the world cup for france. Salah scored 44 goals for liverpool and 2 in the world cup for egypt last season. Salah plays in the much harder league. This award is supposed to be based on individual performance not team accolades. Salah should definetely be in that XI.

Thing is that City team can beat up just as any team in the league without De Bruyne (bar liverpool). When de bruyne have a bad game other players can still win it for them (silva,aguero,sane etc), whereas for Chelsea when hazard play bad, the team play bad.
