A short collection of short clips taken in 1962 showing the Fife East Coast Railway Line which was axed as a consequence of the Beeching Report in 1963
I've passed Lower Largo many times by train and until I saw your pictures I never knew the name of the town I love to look at. I've passed through the derelict station and wondered about it many times. Thanks for sharing this and educating my Scottish geography :)
Many thanks for uploading. I love videos of bygone Scottish railways (the Beeching victims being my favorites). As a Scottish Rail lover, I always feel a slight connection, especially when a steam loco or 1st Gen DMU is present!
Hello, there is actually a much better video on RU-vid showing the East Coast line. There are also some more comprehensive views of Lower Largo station and if you can stand the music - or better still just turn down the sound then it is emminently watchable Just enter east coast railway fife and it should appear Best regards Ian
Hi Ian, I am working for a production company who are making a documentary for Channel 4. We are interested in using your footage. I don't know if RU-vid will allow my email so have typed it! (zoe dot romer at flinttv dot co dot uk)
Hi Ian, we would love to include one of your videos on the next episode of the Worlds Most Beautiful Railways. You can send me a message on the below page: facebook.com/MostBeautifulRailway Thanks, Zoë
