Today, I have the FiFine K688 Dynamic USB and XLR microphone in the Audio Hotline Studio! A lot of these mics are in a pretty similar price category, and they ALL feature both a USB and XLR output. It makes for a very interesting blind comparison!

If you are considering buying the FiFine K688 I would encourage you to check out the testing and audio samples and see if this is right for you! Every person has different expectations of audio gear. If the features are what you need, and you like the sound, then it is right for you!

This is the first video where I change up my grading/rating system. This new rating system was created by Bark (Obscure Mics) and me during a podcast of ours "Obscure Hotline".
We decided to come up with a rating system that is a little more straight forward and easier to understand.
The Rating system is called BBSAR (Bark and Bronson's Standardized Audio Rating). It rates on a scale from 0-10 and there is a graphic I will include in each video explaining what each number represents. Hopefully, this is a little more clear and more understandable compared to my letter grades. If there is a microphone you want me to re-rate based off the BBSAR, let me know in the comments and I will let you know my rating!
