One thing that I do is at the end of the week I put all rollover money in a sinking fund (grocery wallet moves to grocery sinking fund at the end of the week) for that same category. That way when you need extra money you will have it.
Great video! I always roll over my wallet cash and keep adding my usual per payday. I get paid twice a month, so never know when that extra mney will come in handy. Especially groceries/paper goods. I may put a cap on them and once the envelope reaches that amount, I pull whatever is above and either throw it to debt or use it for extra savings challenge money.
I just buy from my family’s favorite restaurants. I figure if we don’t go to that specific restaurant on vacation, at least I know it will get used at home. We don’t do sit down restaurants often, so most times we are out of town, we will drive to find a certain restaurant that the kids like.
