Fig Tree Care (Planting a Fig Tree) 

I have wanted a fig tree for years and finally bought one a couple of months ago, so this video is very timely. Thanks Mark.

Great timing 😂 I’ve found a fig tree in my garden last week m, I planted seeds and never thought any grew and always thought it was an acorn tree but checked online an it is a fig. 😂👌

Great video, Mark! I do love fig trees, they help to add to the Mediterranean feel of the garden. Hopefully, your tree does well and produces plenty of figs in years to come! I did know about the root restriction thing, but I decided to experiment when I planted my Brown Turkey fig last year and I didn't restrict its roots at all. I guess we'll see if it works out or not in a few years haha 😂

Will it be ok, even thought it’s not planted in a sheltered position? It looks a bit exposed where you’ve got it. Please do give us updates through the seasons. Will be interested to know how it gets on. I have a fig in a pot which I’d like to get in the ground, but the only space I have for it is close to a west facing wall, at the side of the house. It worries me that it might not get enough sun, and also that it would be in a bit of a wind tunnel, since it’s at the side of the house with another property running alongside it.
