Facts. I quit running pick up 1 because I tore my plantar fascia and 2 because it's always an argument over fouls or the score and I'm just trying to play ball

This is why LA fitness had a mass exodus in the past 10 years… nobody wants to go to the gym and deal with people fighting and causing havoc… my old LA fitness had somebody getting stabbed over basketball once a week… everybody where I live eventually left there and went to crunch or retro fitness
Jesus man that is crazy And over a basketball game at the gym? That is just crazy. Dudes take pickup games more seriously than their life priorities and goals and that's just sad. That's why I stopped playing because it wasn't fun anymore
@@jaysouthmusic8230 yeah bro softball became the same way… dudes think they’re playing in the MLB and take it way too serious man and like you said, it’s not fun anymore… and yeah the OG LA fitness by me, everybody left there cuz there was so many other better and cheaper options… the YMCA always had basketball courts but most of the fighting stayed outta there… LA fitness let way too many members bring guests and then you got workers hooking up the whole hood with guest passes and you got 40+ people tryna play pickup basketball on 1 full court..
As a basketball player I HATE when it gets like this. I had a guy clothesline me on a layup attempt and when I got up and confronted him, he pulled a gun on me. Now...I just leave the gym before it gets anything near this. You never know what people have or thinking...
Damn bro I'm sorry that happened to you it shouldn't have to go that far. That's why I stopped playing basketball cause of the last incidents i was in where dudes wanted to fight me because of my great defense and one dude threatened to hurt me bad if I drove down the lane which was my strong suit of my game. It just wasn't fun anymore once dudes take the fun out of it and start threatening people's lives over a PICKUP game

I remembered when I went to LA Fitness 2 years ago. I had 2 guys get mad at me for playing good defense on them and they both on opposite teams. One of them was pushin' me away after a game when I was tryin' to dap him up which was me sayin' good game. How you get mad at someone for playing good defense tf xD
@@pure-_-bond2165 same thing happened to me so I can relate and tbh it's the very sole reason why I stopped playing basketball because it just stopped being fun and dudes taking pickup games way too seriously I couldn't deal with it anymore

Playing basketball in LA is the worst. This is the type of energy we have in NYC when we're in our teens because we are trying to go to the league or overseas. A 34 yr old working at T-Mobile in West Hollywood bringing this energy doesn't make any sense 😂😂😂

This is exactly why I stopped playing ball and I don’t regret it. Game wasn’t fun anymore once dudes wanted to fight over a PICKUP GAME, and we was not playing for money and not getting paid. It’s sad and I played ball most of my life up to that point and I’m honestly glad I stopped playing cause of shit like this
Wtf are these dudes always ready to fight when they are hooping when i was coming up basketball was a break from a hard reality it bought me so much joy till this day there is nothing wrong with competition but when you have to put your hands on another person that is not good.
Same here but now because of stuff like this it makes me not want to ball anymore and I haven't played since cause dudes always wanted to fight me for no reason and it wasn't fun to me anymore
@@whatupcuzz3155 Basketball ain't boxing or mma, it's a team sport. Just because a dude can beat another guy 1v1 doesn't make them the better player. Basketball is a team sport, not hard to understand. If he can't transition his skills onto the court in a team game, then he isn't the better player.
And they took the fun out the game which results on the reason why people like me who grew up playing basketball no longer play the sport because it was no longer fun once dudes took it way too seriously in pickup games

Sadly this is how they play basketball nowadays and this is one of the main reasons I stopped playing basketball because it wasn't fun anymore once dudes took too seriously and was threatening to hurt someone over good defense. Can't even play great defense in pickup games anymore

That's what I'm saying I use to be like that but then realized that I'm not going to the league, I stopped taking it seriously and played for fun and getting my cardio like I did growing up but people took the fun out the game by taking it too seriously like they was gonna go to the league after a PICKUP game like dudes I played against was not all that
When we're the punches thrown? DID I miss something? I've seen real fights on the court. This wasn't one of them.But props to the smaller guy for standing his ground.
Yea cause they money and a lot to lose plus they got priorities over basketball. The dudes in the video are just regular people, that take this more seriously than their priorities
The guy without the dreads in his hair he handled things right when guy in orange shirt was heated the guy moved him out the way letting him no i got this guy in orange shirt would have made situation worst ( act like men not little boys )
Because the people there have the intensity of a five year old and that’s an insult to a five year old because even some of them will go all out when they really want something. These guys are a bit aggressive but it looks like regular street ball to me. At least punches didnt get thrown.
