MX Keys has a newer version called MX Keys S launched in 2023 that does come with and supports Logi Bolt receiver and has the newer multimedia keys that are on MX Mechanical.
Great comparison thanks! I checked both keyboards out side by side in a store. The MX Mechanical, even the Tactile version, is still FAR louder than the scissors switches in the MX Keys S. Your video shows this too. Keep up the good work.

I'm extremely picky about keyboards. I like a quiet keyboard that's solid and feels well made when I type. I've tried so many keyboards and I ended up with the MX Keys. I like it so much I have them at both work and home. I also have the MX 3S mouse (if ykyk) and it's a great combo to have. I never have to worry about either one and they come with great software that you can use with all your different programs you have. I honestly don't know how these MX Keys can get any better, but they have me sold.
I had the MX Keys before. I loved the high quality it is and looks. But I changed to the MX Mechanical. The feeling and sound when you typing is making more feeling and motivation Productiv. both are awesome keyboards, but I love the mechanical a bit more
Hint: Some months ago the "MX Keys S" (vs "MX Keys") was released that comes with a "Logi Bolt" dongle instead of the "Unifying" one. Everything else is almost the same. And currently it is 110€ vs 70€ (in Germany).
Agree with you. MX keys is a really good keyboard and super silent and great for your wrists. Using 3 of them in my family and everyone is happy. Really don't understand why anyone would want big chunky mechanical sound making. If you are not a gamer or don't want to show off, you are more than well served with MX keyboard
nice video! do you think that the meachanical mini can be used in public places too or is it too loud even with the tactical quiet (brown) switches? for example in a train or study rooms? would be the keys mini be the better option?
Have you used the K860? I'm considering one of these just to switch it up. Sometimes I get pain in my hands, especially in standing position using the ergo keyboard. I find it hard to get your hands in correct position. Do you have any thoughts on that? It's so painful to type on a macbook pro, and I think the MX keys for Mac would have a similar travel length.
If you accidentally break a key on the regular version, you can forget for your keyboard. there are extremely tiny parts, that can break very easy, and the key is destroyed.
Great review! One thing regarding connectivity. I've got an MX 3S, other than having to use two connectors if i would go for the MX mechanical, would there be any other drawback?
Mekanik olanı tavsiye etmem arkadaşlar. Normal olanı ise şuana kadar kullandığım en iyisi. Eğer çok mekanik tutkunuz var ise ve yazılımcıysanız nuphy marka klavyeleri araştırın derim.
Yeah, even with the quiet "brown" keys it seems much louder. I got the m720 and mx keys mini about a week ago. But my itchy buying finger has already made me order the mx master 3s, so I'm thinking why not get the mx mechanical too and then either have two sets or give away / sell the one I like least after trialling them fully (they are quite cheap in China now where I live, about half the price mentioned in the video).
Hi Alex, it's really hard to say which keyboard is faster for typing because I'm not really a fast typist. Maybe I should do a test. For now, I would say that the speed is approximately the same
Thanks! Asking because I've got cheaper mechanical keyboards in the past and these were not convenient and easy to type fast in my experience. Tempted to try mech again though but don't want to risk it with such price tags 😃 Would give it a try since they seem pretty much the same to you then 🙂
@@sawo1337 I recently moved from Logitech MX keys to Keychron K8 pro, and i feel the overall feel of the keychron is way better than the MX keys, especially the speed and the smoothness with the brown switches. I'm tempted to try the Logitech mechanical keys but its pricey . May be will try after 6 months .
"Built to last"....the mx Keys got such brittle holders for the pads and holding mechanism that they will break very easily if u plan to remove them and clean the keyboard deeply...replacements not available from logitech but only some shady ebay sellers...For over 100€ this is pure ripoff
