Great review. My only suggestion for you, not that you asked lol, thebackground music volume is too loud and unnecessary while you're talking. It is distracting and takes away from your presentation.
Thanks Mike, this is the video I’ve been looking for having complete and thorough comparison across three of the models, timely for the moment of choice.
Now I just need them to make a version of the MX Mechanical/Mechanical Mini in thst White Pale Grey color to match the mouse I got. Surprised they didn't launch one out the gate like that considering they made one for the regular MX Keys. But yeah man overall great video, and it was very clear and concise with the comparisons, and talking about the features, amazing camera work and editing as usual but also although other reviewers made good videos on this set, not many of them went into depth about their features as much and actually learned a thing or two about the product that didn't know before. Seriously great video as always 🤓
Very glad you appreciate the way I made the vid!! Looking from their past products, it's very possible they might release another color down the road. Or it'd be helpful if they sold diff colored keycaps as well to make it easier xD
Great video! Do you think that i could use the mechanical mini with the GL tactile switches (ig it's the brown ones) in public places to study or in a train, without annoying other ppl around me?
Great review! Thanks for doing the Switch Sound Comparison. I own multiple Logitech keyboards/mice but looking for something new and needed to hear them all before deciding 🤓
I have the brown one, and considering changing against the blue one. The Brown one feels a bit mushy to me. Is the blue one a more clear clickable experience?
I got the blue switch when it came out. And I just got the brown one yesterday. I thought I would prefer that old school 90's sound of the brown switches but they're a little bit TOO quiet for me. I think I prefer the blues as well. But the browns are also very nice.
Thank you so much Mike for the comparison. The switches of the G915 sound nicer to me than the MX Mechanical. From my understanding, the MX Mechanical is using the same switches but a newer version of them.
As a lifelong membrane user that has used mechanical keyboards for a few years now... I'm considering going back to a membrane. So I don't think you're alone.
Great review, did I hear correctly you can have the keyboard charging and use it at the same time? So can it stay plugged in the whole time if you wanted to.
Best review of the MX Line. I had watched before and after seeing other videos I came back to watch it again. Thanks you made my decision a lot easier. 🤓🤓
I got myself both mx mechanical mini and mx master 3s. The mechanical mini with Tactile quiet version is the way to go for someone who types a lot and want to keep noise levels on lower side. I'm really enjoying with this set.
I'm using the red ones right now and loving it. However, they're all low profile switches so they're very easy to press on to reduce fatigue. I think it'd harder to choose between the red and brown, but easy with the blues if you want the audible and tactile click sound
@@MikeWat thank you. i bought both and i have found that in red, it's more smooth for me to type and it's more consistent, less typos? however the sound that brown makes somehow makes you feel like you're doing something productive. lol i'm still undecided on which one to keep.
Honestly buying a keychron k3 pro low profile would be better then the mini and a k8pro or k2pro (depending on layout preferences) would be better for the larger size. Great review though
I have the mx keys mini and without a doubt will be upgrading to the mx mechanical, now that i have seen this video. Great job describing the differences by the way : )
I have a logitwch k800 that's gotten 8 hours of daily use for 6 years and will need replacing soon and I can't decide on a happy medium. I like the quiet membrane keys of the k800 (though they're not totally silent) but the new MX keys are too low profile and just not as comfortable to type on. The red switches look like the most enjoyable typing option (would have to try it) but I know I'm gonna get sick of the sound. On the k800 I can hit top typing speed of 78-79wpm. On every other keyboard especially macbook or magic keyboards my error margin ends up higher. Still on the hunt for that perfect one
Why can't they put home keys to the MX mini? Not everyone wants a mechanical keyboard. Also arrow keys are too small. MX mini mechanical has the layout I want but even the quite tactile is not quite enough for me.
🤓great job. I do not have admin rights on my work computer. Can I program the mouse and keyboard on my personal laptop and the functionality will be the same once connected to my work device? Both are non-apple laptops.
Mike...like the face view at the start up. It really helps set the tone for the video. Then you nailed with the duel view afterward along with the perfect amount of B roll. That wide screen looked pretty sweet too in that lighting when you playing the game!!! Very Profession ...see the growth as you put everything together with perfect balance. I would hire you if I was business easily!!! (Sorry don't know how to add a emoji with glasses) :)
Thanks for the demo. I think the Tactile will work for me! Also I was a little surprised the mini mechanical was slightly longer than the non mechanical. I guess the mechanical keys are bigger?
Great review. I have a MX Master 3S and a full size MX keys at home for my desk setup and I’m sort of wondering if it would make sense to get a MX anywhere 3 and a Mechanical mini to work on the road
Hmmm. Even when the switches are quiet, the keys striking the bottom plate makes plenty of noise to put it out of the running for me. Looking for a truly quiet keyboard.
nope! I actually got used to the new mouse right away, and in a way the click feels better. it feels mushier, in a good way. you gotta try it out in store!
I might check out the keyboard - although I do not really like mechanical keyboards as a rule. A bit 1970's! I have a Logitech Ergo trackball mouse - so much less wrist strain than the original MX Master which I had before.
I hate the keycaps of my logitech 815, they are coated with kind of a soft touch paint but not really soft touch. That results into oily keycaps after some minutes of typing
Great video! I thought you've picked up the Brown switches over the Red ones, but after rewinding a bit I saw you using the Red ones. I'm saying this because I was about to ask you what was your final pick but told my self , man, check if you can find the answer by yourself. I'm not familiar with the Logi mouse software for MX Master 3 and would like to know, as I am playing World of Warcraft like twice a week, is it possible to bind all the keys and scroll wheels - F8 F9 F10 F11 F12 respectively to Horizontal Wheel Up, Horizontal Wheel Down, Back,Forward and gesture key? I hope you get the idea, so does the software give you this functionality ?
I love the MX Keys but need a wired keyboard. What would be the closest keyboard to the MX Keys that is wired? Need wired, quiet and concave keys. Thank you so much!!!
Thanks for the awesome review. Finally found someone comparing all 3 switches. Appreciate it. Will the red or brown switch be quieter? Looking to use this in a office setting. :)
