+counterculture It's more regional than national. If you go to the East End of London you will see a lot of Jellied Eel shops, elsewhere in the UK it is as non-existent as it would be in the states.
In the early 90s I was in London. The only culinary memory I have of that time is when I went to Maccas and they warmed up my Filet-O-Fish in a microwave. True story.
Jellied Eels is the food you put out at a buffet, that you expect nobody to eat. Like brussel sprouts at Christmas. Why didn't you get him to eat toad in the hole, or a steak and ale pie?
+RatFacedJasper Who the hell puts jellied eels out at a buffet, or puts out anything you expect nobody to eat? I've never actually seen jellied eels or know of anyone eating them ever, even living in east london which i think is maybe the only place you would get them now anyway - i still dont know anyone thats had then. And brussel sprouts are fucking awesome by the way! haha.
Dear RU-vid and UFC. Funny video, Griffin's always good value. I'm English and would say this selection of food is basically a selection of some of the - let's say... unpopular food we have. The US equivalent would be some shit like Clam Chowder, Boloney and that bullshit you guys have with your bacon... oh yeah, everything ;)
I don't eat any of the BS, although scones probably aren't to bad. I have never heard of Jellied Eels either. I do agree that British food is probably the worse though, that's why I'm glad to have West Indian family.
Scotland is a part of the United Kingdom. I'm very familiar with that. This video is called Forrest Griffin vs. English food. Scotch Eggs aren't English, they are Scottish.
I'm British I've never heard of any of this shit besides scones which I've never eaten, if you wanna try British food you need an English breakfast, pub food and fish and chips
+Rather Notsay your absolutely right with Lebanese food it is quit dry I can never understand why and I've tried a few places. But There are 22 Arabic countries, my favourite is Adeni by far. But this is my opinion, everyone has different tastes.
