Fight Stories: Trevor Gillies - The Brandon Prust Scrap 

I can't process how young Trevor Gillies looks. He honestly looks 28-30 years ild. He looks super young. Maybe its the mustache but he really looks super young. Unbelievable 👍

its funny that he's seems so classy and articulate here because when he played he seemed like a complete meathead

Gillies accepted my friends request in 2009 while I was a Royal Marine in Afghanistan. I got to use a computer twice in 6 months, but I’ll never forget him sending me an awesome inspirational message about staying strong during a really rough tour, and how much he respected our courage. I thought I don’t have half the courage you do to fight all those monsters in the AHL/NHL 😂 Next time I logged in when I got home safe, I had a friends request from Jeremy Yablonski as he and Gillies are good friends, and ended up having some great chats with him too. Really solid human beings, and although I shut my Facebook down over a decade ago, I’ll never forget them taking the time to talk to a fan and also inspire my courage to do my job to the best of my ability. Massive respect Trevor and Jeremy absolute legends, and I’m glad they got out on top and in one piece. 👍
