One caveat with using your belt… your pants can slide down, inhibiting your legs. This is absolutely true for me…I NEED my belt to hold my pants. Be aware.

An excellent point. Maybe add some suspenders to your wardrobe. LOL.

Invented during the Edo period for bloodless capture in castles. A Japanese Bujutsu art. notice how he steps offside when blocking the arm, the same thing is done against a sword, that is to say, you don't block the sword directly under it but come from the side as he shows, where it is safer.

Interesting. You can be confident that a rope by itself would be effective in a fight by itself. If that was the only weapon close at hand?

See this works in a world were people all know martial arts and know how to “fight”. An as far as someone knowing martial arts it’s never going to work because a opponent will never intentionally choreograph an attack it’s about baiting a response to counter or play mind games and that if the two people are fighting fair with rules of engagement. For a street fight you gonna get licked once or twice but likely won’t do much damage, all that said the rope is an effective weapons but in a real scenario you can rely on the steps this guy teaches you have to improvise with the tools you have and react almost instinctively if you hesitate or think about what your supposed to do you’ll be in a corner getting the tar beat out of you

The rope techniques shown in this video are to present "ideas" people can apply. You are correct that situations are fluid and ever-changing in a conflict. Thus, a student must be prepared to be flexible and alter how they deliver their skills. Thank you for your comment. It is appreciated.

I make Jute rope belts that tie around the waist like a karate 🥋 belt also two knots 🪢 at each end. 12mm rope. Have all the chains as well rope just looks non threatening and you look poor. WHAPPP💥🪢👊🏻 a chain in the city to police would b bad. Rope is just low key.

As with most weapon based techniques a lot of assumptions are made I'll just go into few I'm not trying to write a book firstly when your attacked the full on shock effect will cause in most cases tunnel vision , palpitations and other weird effects like everything is in slow motion most of the training you have had can just drip out of you , to then pull out a rope and use it effectively can become very dangerous to you. On the other side of the coin you could become enraged and use that rope to seriously injure your assailant either way you will end up in a mess . These guys have choreographed that film you won't have that luxury. My humble advice is if you are worried about being attacked is to look for a class that teaches you real no nonsense fighting techniques eg 52 block urban combatatives, Boxing . I have no axe to grind with these guys in the film but its irresponsible to show that sort of thing , be smart and be safe .

The purpose of demonstrating videos like this is to show options and expand your thoughts of potential weapons reachable in your environment. Choosing to use a weapon in conflict should always be based on each individual situation and threat level. Showing rope techniques in "Fight With A Rope" & "Fight With A Rope Part 2" is to present ideas - not set techniques. Kenjute offers various techniques based on threat levels from moderate threat skills for police & security; to life and death responses. They DO work and have been successful applied by security guards, bar security, and police on numerous occasions. The goal of learning self-defence techniques is to present people (especially those who lack fighting skills; high levels of fitness; body size; and youth) scenarios training to offset the attack. Therefore we disagree with some of your premises.
@jas_bataille
@jas_bataille 10 месяцев назад
Obviously those techniques are increasingly complex. The better way is to take out your belt as soon as possible, wrap one end on your strong hand, grab the other hand with your weak hand. Hold the belt above your head, stretch to gain momentum and hit. To hit the genitals, extend it sideways.
@jas_bataille
@jas_bataille 10 месяцев назад
This is correct however this specific videos show techniques that are way too advanced and in a manner almost impossible to achieve in real life and therefore make it next to useless a demonstration to most fighters out there, even advanced one. It also ignored the counter arm and legs of your opponent when they're being strike in the kidney. Furthermore, it seems useless to me to hit someone in the face after you've choked them while applying pressure on their spine with your knee. At this point they're not gonna get up and you could potentially kill someone quite easily by mistake. I also don't know why you're suggesting to civilians the use of a metal wire which is strictly a killing tool, more like an assassination tool if I'm being honest. Finally, you omit basic extension over the head for striking the temples and throat, and extended diagonally for going about the genitals. I feel like your ego guided you a bit too much for a generic demo. No offense. You obviously are amazing at what you do. @@kenjuteinternational3940

People won't hurt someone with pants around ankles? So swing your dog around by the leash as a weapon? Just remove ALL you clothes. Nobody wants to fight a naked person.
